"Josh my man, come on let's go out to the bar tonight. We need a break. Things have been so hectic around here, I'm suffocating. We will be leaving for Alpha/Beta training in 30 days and we have to make the best of it and party our asses off because we won't be back for three years." Says my best friend and soon to be Beta Lyell. "I don't know man going out with you always leads to trouble Ly. Remember last month when you were basically f*****g that guys mate on the dance floor. He flipped out so I had to step in?" I glare at him. This guy just doesn't care. "Yeah bro, but that she wolf was a grade A slut." I cringe "Can you not speak that way? You will meet your mate one day soon and you don't want her to hear you speak that way now do you?" He looks like he is really thinking about what I just said. "oh goddess what if both of our mates are grade A sluts?' He howls with laughter. "I hope not, but I will accept my mate no matter who it is as long as she wants me too. Speaking of which Lyell you should really take it slow with the ladies, you wouldn't want to meet your mate and she's put off by you being a grade A man slut." I laugh at him. "Laugh it up Joshy boy I am just having fun and living life. Plus I have to practice and get good for when I meet her" he says then stares off and I know he is arguing with his wolf Creed. Lyell always says his wolf hates him sleeping around. He should listen to him.

Lyell p.o.v

Creed my wolf agrees with Josh. "He's right you know, mate might not want us. Keep it in your pants from now on stupid human. We wait for mate." I block him out. No way can I agree to that. "Now you have Creed agreeing with you" I groan getting frustrated with these two. "I'll try guys, but it's hard." "It's not that hard" Josh replies. He just doesn't get it. 'We can't all be perfect like you. I'm sure the goddess will bless you for waiting for your mate." Why do I suddenly feel guilty for not waiting for mine? "Goddess will bless us too. Very soon, I can feel it. I mean it human no flirting or sleeping with anyone tonight." Creed tells me and blocks me out. I actually agree with him though. I'll try my best to be good today. "Lets go I'm going to message Chase as well. Meet you outside in 30" "okay" Josh replies and leaves. I have so much to think about. Do I even want a mate?

Joshua p.o.v

I run upstairs, take a quick shower and change into some jeans and a polo shirt and some comfortable dressy shoes. I spray my favorite cologne and I put my shoulder length hair in a man bun. I grab my keys and wallet and I'm ready to go. Lyell and Chase are already down stairs waiting for me, so we hop in the truck and take off. My wolf Storm has been acting strange all day and has been very present as well. He starts pacing back and forth the closer we get to the bar. He always gives me a headache when he does this. "I feel like something big is going to happen." He tells me. I'll make sure we are on guard then. Storm is usually laid back, but if he feels like something will happen, then I have to be ready. Maybe coming out tonight isn't a good idea, but we are almost there so no going back now. "guys try not to drink too much and get crazy, Storm feels something, be on guard and aware at all times." I tell the boys "Damn okay" They both reply. Chase looks little worried. Maybe I shouldn't have said anything. He is younger than us afterall. He doesn't even have his wolf yet.

We get there, park and get off. the parking lot is packed. Usually younger people hang out here or friends who just want to talk without it being too loud. It's always packed out here though. As long as the bar is open, the parking lot is popping too. Right away I notice the Alpha's daughter from the neighboring pack who keeps wanting to hook up with me. Her name is Amanda. She is with her group of friends. Her father and my grandparents are old school and believe higher ranks should get together for stronger heirs and allies. She got her dad to schedule a meeting with my dad to talk about us "becoming a family" and merging the packs and becoming the strongest pack. My dad told them my mate would be my business, whoever I chose wasn't up to him. They weren't too happy with that meeting. I'm glad my dad isn't like my grandfather. When I turned 18 and found out she wasn't my mate I told my dad I wasn't interested in a chosen mate and want to wait for my fated mate. My mother always taught me it's best to wait for whoever the moon goddess chose for you. You do not disrespect that. Her and dad had issues at first because my mom isn't born into an alpha family. My grandparents gave my dad hell for it, but he was already alpha by then so he didn't care plus she got pregnant with me pretty fast so they had no say in it. Luckily they ended up working it out and everyone tolerates eachother, although I can tell my grandparents never fully accepted her. I've heard them make comments and shady remarks thinking dad and me weren't listening. Oh well she's here to stay and you would think after all of these years they would come around and accept her, she is a terrific person and luna, but they are stubborn. This annoying chicks voice snapped me out of my daydreaming. "oh well if it isn't my future Alpha husband Joshua Davis." Here we go again with this bs. Can I just ignore her and she will go away I think to myself. "Cat got your toungue baby? ha ha Hey Chase, Hey Lyell. Yall ready to have some fun with us?" She asks the guys. "Hello ladies" is all I say before walking away, not giving her the attention she wants. My wolf starts going crazy in my head. What the... what's wrong Storm? I ask my wolf. "Do you smell that?" He says "Yes mmm smells like vanilla, smells great." At this point I am salivating and so is Storm. I start followig the smell. I stop and look around to find out where it is coming from. "Hey bro are you okay? You are looking a little wild right now." Lyell asks me. "I'm fine bro, just this smell, goddess I can't get enough of it." I reply. I probably look crazy right now sniffing the air. "I don't smell anything." Chase adds looking very confused. Swear he always looks confused. Maybe it's because he doesn't have his wolf yet. I look around one more time, my eyes changing to black so I know Storm came to the surface. All I hear is "oh s**t!" coming from Lyell and chase.
