Ranch del Romance
(Lucy's POV)
“Seriously, Auntie Selene. I know you're just mad for I spent too much time in the market today but you don't have to do this," I exclaimed as Katrina and her both grabbed my arms and yanked me up to the third floor where my room was.
As Mr. Hugo already left barely minutes ago, they're back to their usual selves I could see horns popping out the crown of their heads.
"I mean, you can just punish me again or beat me with the whip but don't send me off to marriage with that old mutt," I continued pleading with disdain in my voice. "He's just like a father to me. I can't marry someone like him, please!"
I can't imagine having a future with that man. Yeah, I knew it's not right to judge someone just by his physical looks but my wolf's instinct is warning me not to trust him.
I couldn't tell if it's the way his sharp eyes checked my body up and down or the way he gave me full of malice smirk that made me agitated. All I know that there's something in him that I and Sky are apprehensive about.
Yet, my stepmother seemed like she already made up her mind. "You are going to marry Mr.Hugo whether you like it or not, dear stepdaughter," with an apathetic face, Aunt Selene answered me while we're at the staircase. "We've already talked about this earlier and it's too late to back out now."
"Will you just appreciate that you're to be wed to a pretty well-off businessman, stepsister!" Katrina spat at me. "You're such a lucky b***h if you haven't realized it yet!"
I snapped my head at her and growled, "Then why don't you marry him instead if you're overly envious, witch!"
That made the two wretched women who made my life a living hell gasped in surprise for that's the first time I lost my patience and raised my voice.
I then grinned at them and chuckled aloud before muttering, "I was just kidding! Gosh, who would want to marry a boring she-wolf like you, Katrina? Even a perverted obsolete bastard like Mr.Hugo will have second thoughts."
"Lucy!" my stepmother grunted my name as her eyes turned to squint.
I instantly sealed my lips when I saw anger washed her whole face.
Okay, I think I'm in serious trouble. 'Me and my big mouth!'
______
A FEW minutes later...
"I expect you to behave yourself until Mr.Hugo's men arrived to pick you up tomorrow, dear stepdaughter."
Those are Aunt Selene's last words when she pushed me inside my room and locked me inside.
I was left in the dark with my mouth hanging open in shock.
Tomorrow?
Mr. Hugo's men will pick me up tomorrow already?
I slowly stepped back until the back of my legs collided with the frame of my bed making me sat down on the mattress.
"Aren't that ancient hound too excited?" I mumbled and clasped my hands on my lap.
I don't know what to do and what to think of my situation.
Why my stepmother think of dispatching me off to Mr.Vertillo? Why they're hurrying up?
Should I disobey my stepmom and run away?
I bit my lower lip and stared at the dark corner of my room.
But where to go? Both of my parent's distant relatives are living far away in that city. I have nowhere to stay for I also don't have friends downtown.
Should I report this forced marriage to the authorities?
But what if they don't believe me? Or refuse to listen to an Omega like me? What if they bring me back to the ranch after?
Aunt Selene will be more pissed if that happens.
I let out a deep breath and stood up. I walked to the open window and using a stool, I sat on the sill.
My eyes landed on the branch of the tree just an arms reach away from me. "It is easy to jump on the other side if I want to, but then again, where to go?" I murmured cupping my forehead as my head throbbed in distress.
Feeling helpless and with tears forming in my eyes, I looked at the moon and prayed, "Please, Moon Goddess. Help me.

REID'S MANSION
(Zacria’s POV)
I TOOK my coat off as the night felt extremely humid. Walking out the balcony of my room, I clutched the railings and breathed hard.
Fuck!
What's wrong with me?
There's this unsettling feeling that plodding on my nerves which made me annoyed. Even my wolf; Prinx was restless suppressing growls every goddamn second.
Something is happening that might be connected to us but what is it!
With my jaw clenching, I moved back inside my room and wore my mask off. I threw it to Sasha who at that moment too caught up with playing mobile games.
“What the hell, bro! I'm almost at the tenth tunnel, man!" he groaned as he failed his mission when my mask landed right on his face.
I gave him a serious look and uttered, "Quit playing those stupid games and stop making my room your hideout." I strode to the built-in closet and pulled out a pair of jogging pants, a wife-beater, and a hooded jacket.
Sasha sat up from the couch and lifted the mask with just one finger. “So what am I supposed to do with this?”
"Wear it while I'm out," I answered him while changing my clothes. "I'm going to check on something. I'll bring my phone and I'll give you a call later.” I quickly wore a pair of sneakers and sprayed suppressant before sneaking out of my room without giving my second in command a chance to protest.
I went straight to the parking lot to where Sasha's big bike was. I have a duplicate key and without wasting more time, I hopped on. I turned the ignition of the big bike to life and drove off to the first place that came to my mind.

RANCH del Romance
(Lucy’s POV)
I WOKE up from my deep slumber as I felt a callous warm hand gently touching the side of my face. My lids slowly fluttered open and my eyes settled on the ceiling of my semi-dark room. Still disoriented, I had a whiff of a scented candle which made me frowned for I did not light and when I went to sleep.
I turned my head to the left and finally, I realized who gave a small glow to my sanctuary.
"You're crying, sweet and it f*****g hurts me," said a deep raw voice in which sent an unexplainable spark down my spine.
I gulped and settled my gaze on the owner of the voice's gorgeous face before I smiled dreamily. "I'm so glad you came, Cria."
