  Daniella drove to the fast food restaurant where Patti worked.  She parked in front of the burger joint and turned up the radio to wait for Patti to finish her shift.  She toyed with the silver pendant around her neck and hummed along with the tune.  In her other life, she’d been so absorbed in Duke that she had left Patti high and dry.  She wouldn’t make that mistake again.  After a few minutes, she saw Patti’s blue head bobbing out of the doorway, her slim shoulders hunched against the cold.  She grinned and waved at Danni before she trotted over to the passenger side and let herself in.  “Wah, Patti, you smell like french fries!” “I know!” she groaned, “Its like the stink just permeates my body and oozes from my pores.  Even after I shower I can still smell the fries.”  They both
