"Our little secret," Nya whispered to herself as she stared in the mirror the next morning. All she could think about was Luke on top of her, his warm manly arms grabbing her with such ease, and his aggressiveness as he took control of her, pinned her wrist down and made her experience one of the greatest times in her life. All she was thinking about was how it would feel with having him in her. "Our little secret," and she didn't feel as guilty as she did in the beginning. "Nya!" her mother shouted, "You'll be late for school!" "Right," and she left her bedroom. When she did, Luke had been leaving Mell's bedroom at the same time, and he glanced at Nya. Nya felt her air fall short in her throat, and she was star struck by his mere physique. However, she was confused when only boredom remained on his face, and he turned away from her as he shut the door. He seemed tired, his eyes barely open and his hair was a mess, but Nya still felt courageous enough to say, "Hi." It was quiet, maybe a bit too breathless, but he had heard it. However, he yawned, walk straight by her without glancing at her once and simply replied, "Yo." Then, he descended the staircase and approached Mell. Confused, Nya also descended the stairs and headed for the kitchen, grabbing her lunch and noticing that Luke was not paying no attention to her, not even a glance or a wave. even worse, she felt a strange feeling in her stomach when he wrapped an arm around her mother's shoulders and planted a kiss on the side of her face and whispered, "You're too cute." "I'm leaving, bye," Nya said, and they both noticed the coldness in her tone. Her mother furrowed her brows, "Excuse me? You can be a little nicer than that. Nya, come back here!" "I'm going to be late mom," she said, shrugging her shoulders and opening the entrance door. Mell was going to yell something else but Lucas stopped her, placing a palm above her mouth and said, "Leave her be, she's obviously mad that you grounded her." "I don't get why she's angry though, she broke the rules and I'm just abiding the rules I've always gone by with her." Luke shrugged his shoulders, "Maybe you should go a bit easier on her?" "You think so." "I mean, you can do whatever you want but a whole month is pretty dramatic. They weren't having s*x and it was her childhood best friend that you've known forever. Even more, do you really think she's never had s*x in her bedroom when you've been gone?" Mell sighed, grabbing her coffee mug and sending a saddened look to Luke, "You might be wrong." "It's you daughter, so don't feel that you have to listen to me. Just handing you my opinion, but what does it matter—" "You are going to be her step-dad though, so your opinion means a lot." Luke smiled, "You haven't done anything wrong Mell, stop worrying. Talk to her and see what's going on; she broke the rules so you've done nothing wrong enforcing the rules." When he noticed that Mell's atmosphere remained gloomy, he wrapped his arms around her shoulders and squeezed comfortingly, "Mell, ease up babe. It's your daughter, it'll help her in the long run." The moment Nya walked into the cafeteria during lunch, Harry knew there was something wrong. She was absent, sat down with a brief hey and began eating her food as if Harry was not even there. "Can I throw your school bag away?" "Sure..." she muttered, her eyes glued to the table as she was held prisoner by her own thoughts. Harry leaned over and slammed his palm against her cheek. When she realized she had been slapped, she placed her fingers on her stinging cheek and glared at him, "What the f—" "Why are you upset?" "I'm not upset." "Yes you are, what happened?" Nya knew she wouldn't be able to hide it from Harry for long, and she eventually sighed and said, "Lucas went...down on me." Harry's mouth fell open, and Nya added, "We didn't have sex." "How did that happen?" "I don't know, he apologized for what happened and then I told him the truth and then he kissed me and it just...happened." Harry's eyes narrowed, "Nya, your mother—" "Don't remind me," she breathed quietly. "You can't keep—" "Harry, listen, I don't need advice right now. I know it's not right, but I'm going with what my feelings are telling me." "And your feelings are telling you that going for your mother's fiancé is right?" "Harry, I don't know!" she shrieked. When she realized a few eyes had turned, she sent her fingers through her hair stressfully and stood from her seat. "Can we talk about this later?" Harry was reluctant, but he nodded his head. Nya left the cafeteria and was moments from heading to her algebra class, only to wait until the lunch bell rang, but she crossed path with Blake, who was walking towards the exit of his school with his friends. When he noticed Nya was alone, he approached her, "You want to come hang out with us?" On a regular day, she would've declined. However, her day had started poorly and was not getting any better, hence why she merely nodded her head and followed Blake with his group of friends. They ended up going to a local restaurant, and since there was only five of them, they all sat in a booth. Nya did not know the other people, but they included her quite rapidly. They were nice to her, introduced themselves and even Blake made her laugh. "I know your friend always gets mad at me for copying your homework, so how about I pay for your meal today?" Blake smiled genuinely. Nya fell flustered, and she turned away, sheepishly saying, "That's okay." "I insist Nya." It was not long until she agreed, and they all ordered their food. It was when the food was handed to them and they started eating, that Nya glanced upwards and noticed that a group of men were wearing suits. And unfortunately, one of them had luscious black hair, black blue eyes, a sharp jaw, and mesmerizing stare. Luke looked around, shoving his hands in his pockets and waiting for the seater to help them. Once they were walking towards their reserved seats, that was when he walked past Nya's booth and met her gaze, instantly stopping in his tracks and examining who else she was with. "Nya," he said, glancing towards Blake who was sitting across from her, "aren't you supposed to be at school?" All of them went quiet, and Nya exhaled a long breath; he was embarrassing her in front of her new friends. She turned back to her group, "That's my mother's fiancé." "Oh," Blake slowly nodded his head, and sipped on his straw. The others remained quiet as well, and Nya returned her eyes to Luke. He raised an eyebrow, "Nice meeting you guys. Nya, let's go." "Go where?" "To school." "Are you my dad?" she spat challengingly. Luke's eyes suddenly widened, and he glanced towards the group in suits who were waiting for him to be seated. Then, he returned his eyes to Nya who turned away from him and said, "Just let me know when you're leaving; I'll give you a ride home and we can talk." Then he walked away from their table.
