~CYNTHIA There was a triumphant smile on my face as I strode down the corridor. I had succeeded in fooling Althea and she would be gone soon. My wolf spurred with satisfaction. My mind had been in a storm for the past few days and now, it felt so clear and calm. My seat to greatness was once again secure. There was no enemy that would jeopardize my chances. I could not contain my excitement. So much so that I did not see the maid appear from a corner until we bumped into each other. "Brat! Were you too blind to see me?" I roared as my wolf twisted with irritation. The maid bowed her head fearfully at me. "I'm so sorry. I was carrying too many things and I could not see the way. Please forgive me," she begged. I felt like hitting the girl but I held back and balled my hands into fists
