Cynthia and I froze in our tracks.
My heart skipped a beat as I took in her entire existence. My insides twisted as I felt my anger begin to rise. I narrowed my eyes at her, my gaze was sharp enough to cut her.
She was clad in a flowing dark dress and her blond hair fell graciously around her. She did not fail at adorning her hair with pieces of jewelry as she always did. Her usual air of pride or perhaps it was arrogance followed her around as she glared back at me.
Selene looked from me to Cynthia, clueless of what was taking place before her while I watched Cynthia also scrutinize me.
Her eyes went from me to Selene before they fell on my new uniform. I clutched it even harder to show possession. That was when her shock kicked in and her eyes grew as wide as eggs.
