AURORA
Something has shifted and changed between us. I was so aware, so conscious. The way his chest heaved up and down, the way I could hear his heart racing heavily, pounding frantically within his chest. I wanted to assume that it was because of me but it was Kane. I guess I never really know what he was thinking or what was going on through his mind.
The warmth of his body against mine was oddly comforting and I was almost tempted to run my hands up his bare torso. I hungered for the feel of his body against mine and my skin ignited painfully in heat at the idea. My core throbbed heavily with some sort of anticipation. I know that I should let him go. I should. I had to and yet I couldn't bring myself to, so I clinged to him even tighter. Somehow I could hear the rain in the distance
