Hindi sa hidni alam ni Jin ang trabaho ko, in fact he knows the printers well more than me but he is just lazy, I noticed that he’s really bossy to new employees. I went to the Accounting Department and asked whose printer needs to be fixed, tinuro ako sa table ng bago na mukhang sira ang printer dahil kinakalikot niya ito.            “What happened?” I asked her, then she seemed startled upon seeing me. This is actually the third time I am seeing her today.            “Iyong printer kasi, parang sira,” nag-aalanganing sabi pa nito. I checked the printer and I don’t see any damages aside from the unplugged chords. I plugged the chords properly, some of them aren’t plugged properly. I checked the new programs notification systems and the system unit acknowledged the presence of the printer. I turned my back in an attempt to walk away as the phone started to ring. I sighed upon the sight of my soonest job. I went to the maintenance department and gave the broken telephone to them. Napansin kong marami pang telepono ang nakalagay doon.            The maintenance has always been busy just like the IT. There is a certain group here in the office who loves to gather around and gossip. Bawat araw mayroon silang prospect topic.            “You heard? Angelina is really having an affair Dan. Akalain mo iyon?” Pagkatapos no’n ay nagtawanan silang lahat. “Puntahan mo nga ‘yung PC ko mamaya, parang sira e. Puwede rin ngayon muna habang wala ako…” This is Rica, she’s the one who is talking just now. She’s from the accounting also. Lagi rin siyang nagpapaayos ng PC niya sa akin pero wala naman talagang sira, she just wants to leave her spot and talk with her friends while I am working with her PC.            “Me too. Just like what they told me, I went to fix their PC and bought some time as what they really wanted. I am currently on Rica’s PC. Just like what I have been playfully thinking in mind, it is not only the boxes of ballpens that fell on the floor, sumunod ang mga memo pad na nabagsak sa sahig.            Napailing-iling ako at tumayo. I walked towards where she is. This is the effect of not having anyone to organize their supplies.            How I wish I could nag at everyone right now, but that would spoil the fun I am having. ***            I ASKED Chad to bring my car in a nearby train station because I don’t want to ride the bus or train on my way home. The happiness I felt whenever I ride my cars is next to the happiness level I felt when my company’s stock price spikes up. I love cars and it’s my addiction to buy them. Now I am riding my Aston Martin Victor which cost me 3 million dollars. It’s worth the money because it’s very enchanting. I love how they made it black.            I live in Phoebe Homes, it’s actually near a rural area outside the city which is best for sky pod houses just like mine. The gates opened for me. My gates are operated by my guards in their booth and would only open it for person who have been here. I went ahead to my parking lot which is almost like a place where you can buy cars. I have a lot of cars and few motorbikes. “How is your work today, Chad?” agad kong tanong sa kanya habang papalakad kami papunta sa main house.            “All good. We’re still trying to win some clients in UK…”            Chad opened the door for me as we reached the main house which is a glass house.            The software I developed is now soaring the market and is one of top used software by companies in the country and to some foreign countries too, although there at least 10 companies I am yet to beat although I don’t want to focus on that for now.            We offer accounting software and programs necessary for offices. Whenever I think of our company now, I couldn’t help but to doubt that we did all of these with just the two of us. “Ah, I lighted the candle for you, Sir…” I slowly walked towards a painting in my house that filled with fresh flowers everyday and scented candles.            For the first time in years, I forgot about today.            “Thanks, Chad. I almost forgot it is her birthday because of work…” Nakapamulsa akong ngumiti.            My company wasn’t this successful at first. We were rejected a lot of times but there was one woman who supported me in doing our very first software. That is Iris…            I met Iris when I was in college. She was an orphan but very optimistic. She’s always smiling and happy. Iris and I was able to work in the same building and had become closer until we worked in the same company and then decided to make our own software. It was a tough time we had…but we at least had each other. But Iris died before seeing the firs successful run of the project we made. Hindi ko alam na may sakit siyang cancer, until she started passing out and was hospitalized.            She was my first love…            “Iris always loved lighting a scented candle whenever she wants to work at night. She loved the ivory scented candle the most…” I chuckled.            “It’s really hard to let go, right sir?” he softly said. “It’s been ten years…”            “You know I was prepared when she died because I know it’s gonna happen. But what is painful other than her death is that I am slowly forgetting how she looked like…” “I was overworked today alam mo ba? There is this new recruit who always mess up…” I’ll make sure to have them observed…” napatango naman si Chad.            “Yeah and make sure they don’t destroy things in my office.” ***
