CHAPTER EIGHTEEN A thick cloud of black smoke suddenly enveloped the entire stateroom. Everyone began coughing and hacking, including myself. It didn’t help that the smoke was so thick that we couldn’t see anything, which made it even worse. “Hey, what was that?” said Red Tide, whose voice was punctuated by nearly uncontrollable coughing. “I can’t see a damn thing in this smoke!” I felt the same way as Red Tide, but before I could voice that thought, I felt a hand wrap around my lower arm and I found myself being pulled along through the smoke by someone I couldn’t see.
