Chapter 2 - The plan.

CIRCE HAD NEVER BEEN as relieved as the day the Councillor showed up with his army, but that relief was going to be very short-lived as they gathered in the main house living room. Violet wasn’t looking happy with her mate and it didn’t go unnoticed. Was it because Violet didn’t want the council involved in this fight? Circe frowned as her thoughts started to wander all over the place, but when the Councillor cleared his throat, it drew her attention back to the present. Willow was standing in the corner brooding as she had been doing the past couple of days. There hadn’t been any new attacks which gave them all enough time to rest up and heal properly, but since the rogues had shown they would attack day and night, none of them could really relax. “I’m here to make you an offer.” The Councillor’s eyes shot over to where Willow was standing with her arms crossed over her chest and her ankles crossed as she leaned against the bookshelf looking like a statue that was about to tip over. “Olivia has been kidnapped by your uncle.” As he said the words the room went dead silent and all eyes turned to Willow. “That’s not possible!” She pushed away from where she was standing and stormed over to where the Councillor was seated. “I would have felt something through our mate bond.” Willow looked furious. Not only hadn’t the council informed her that Olivia was missing, but the people she trusted most at the council had also kept this information hidden from her! “She is being hidden by very strong magic. Up until two days ago, we had no idea where, but I received confirmation of where she is this morning.” The Councillor quickly started to explain, looking incredibly nervous under Willow’s glare. “You girls have been through so much, Willow.” Violet intervened, drawing Willow’s attention away from the Councillor a little. “We didn’t want to worry you unnecessarily.” “Well?!” Willow crossed her arms looking impatient and incredibly agitated as her eyes started to glow a bright red. “Where the hell is she?” The Councillor pulled out a map and placed it on the coffee table. He explained that they found out Olivia was being held captive by the girl’s uncle and a witch. That was why they couldn’t track her and probably why Willow couldn’t feel anything through the bond. “Brielle …” Circe sighed and all eyes turned to her. Not many of them knew exactly what happened to Circe at the time she was gone, but all of them knew by now who Brielle was. As she said the name, the Councillor nodded. Circe then explained how incredibly dangerous this witch really was. She sure as hell wasn’t what they all remembered their high priestess to be and from what the Councillor and Violet had been able to find out, Brielle seemed to have been working with their uncle all this time. The Councillor explained that he was able to bribe one of the rogues that was captured by one of the other packs to become a double agent for them and the rogue was now back with his pack and their uncle. He was the one who confirmed where Olivia was exactly and that she was still alive. He also told the Councillor everything he knew about their uncle and how the man had been slowly working to take over control of the pack. The rogue was part of the original group of wolves that convinced Radagast he needed to capture all the girls. “How was he captured then, if this rogue was so clever and how the fu.ck can you trust anything he said?” Willow burst out looking even more furious than before, but she quickly calmed down when her mother glared at her. She might be the strongest creature alive, but Willow didn’t dare cross her mother and she knew very well that swearing in front of her mother would land her in deep sh!t! “Sorry, mom.” She quickly apologized, looking ashamed, but anger still flooded her eyes. The Councillor explained exactly what happened and Circe had to admit that it all sounded really plausible. She asked the Councillor what his plan was and this was when he seemed to hesitate a little before he explained. He wanted the girls to go after Olivia and to save her. Their uncle would never expect them to know where he was. The soldiers that came with the Councillor would then stay behind to make sure that the pack was protected and had the help they needed while the alphas were out saving the day. “But what if his spies tell him that we left?” Erik frowned, piping up for the first time, and the Councillor sighed. “You men are going to have to stay here to make it seem as if the girls are still here.” That made them all burst out in disagreement with the Councillor’s plan. Everyone except for Circe. She could actually see this plan working. They could kill three birds with just one stone, so to speak. They could kill their uncle and that damn witch, and they could save Olivia. In fact, they would be saving their entire pack if they killed those two. Circe asked the Councillor how long they had to think about it and he didn’t look happy that he couldn’t get an answer out of them right away, but he agreed that one more day wouldn’t make too much of a difference. That was if their uncle hadn’t killed Olivia in the meantime. Circe agreed that if the spy advised the Councillor that Olivia was in any danger, they would leave immediately. That seemed to satisfy him just enough that he agreed that the army should stay behind. The girls would be able to use their magic to leave the territory without anyone noticing they were gone, and they all agreed to meet up the next afternoon at the old Silver-Fox castle. Soon after the Councillor and Violet were gone, the disagreements started. Mates were fighting with mates because the men didn’t want the women leaving for the fight alone, and sisters were fighting with sisters because they wanted to protect each other as best they could. At the end of the night, they were no closer to a better solution as everyone sat around the map staring at them in silence. Willow wanted to go there on her own because she was convinced she could do better on her own, but Circe quickly informed her that she was also their largest wolf and would instantly be recognized. If there was one sister who should really stay because she looked so different like a wolf, it was Willow, but she point blank refused. Leaving them with the only other option available. They had to follow the Councillor’s plan to save Olivia and their pack. Going to bed in the early hours of the morning, they were all pretty tired. It had been the worst time of their lives having to fight just to live each day in peace and their mother could sense that if she didn’t do something, her girls might not be coming back. She knew in her heart of hearts that the fight against their uncle and their former high priestess was going to be the toughest fight they'd ever had to face and as she snuck into the woods she could only hope and pray that her protection spells would keep them safe. At least, safe enough that they returned home in one piece. She drew the circle and did the spell just as the sun peaked over the ridge. Birds were chirping high above the trees and it was the most peaceful morning she had seen in a while. She placed each of their protection talismans in a small bag in their own personal colours and made her way back home. She knew the moment she walked into the house that the girls had made up their minds to go and their mates had no choice in the matter. Making sure they had something proper to eat before they left, she watched each of them as they packed their small traveling bags and said goodbye to their loved ones. Her heart was shattered as she hugged Glinda last and wished her good luck. Each of her daughters were wearing their talisman around their necks and she had to make peace that she had done what she could to protect them. Everyone’s futures were now in the hands of her daughters. They all agreed the night before that if they didn’t stop their uncle, he wasn’t going to stop destroying just their pack. The man was power hungry. Once he won there, they were convinced he would go after the council and anyone else who stood in his way of world domination. It was a silly idea, but it was a huge possibility. Their uncle would never give up until he ruled it or, or he was stopped. Permanently.
