Phoenix woke up feeling the warmth of his bed next to him. He opened his eyes and realized that Zuri was already gone. He looked up and saw that it was nine o’clock in the morning already.
He sat up and glanced at the side of his bed where Zuri had laid next to him last night. He couldn’t help but smile and giggle. He felt his heart skip a beat when he remembered calling him at night before he slept and then later on he came back to be with him.
He knew he was right about not giving up on Zuri. He was right in that he needed and wanted to pursue him. He couldn’t read him at first because he clearly was not showing any signs at him. But now all Phoenix cares about is that Zuri cares about him and there is no one that can make him think otherwise.
