Silence fell after Zach's proclamation.
"As expected of Simon's brother, you have his spirit. But did you know even Simon never dared speak such words?" Alana's voice dripped with cold disdain.
Zach met Alana's gaze calmly. "I have given you one month to prepare. During that time, if you wish to eliminate me, you may try any means you like. I will accept the consequences."
With those words, Zach turned and walked away. Rohan followed him without a second glance at the so-called dignitaries.
Once Zach departed, the banquet hall erupted into chaos, with dignitaries swarming Alana for solutions.
Alana's voice cut through the tumult, cold and commanding. "You are the dignitaries of Botoza, yet you cower before Zach? Remember, even the great Simon of Botoza was destroyed by me!"
