Marius

"You did what?" tanong sa akin ni Sebastian habang nakatambay kami sa paborito naming cafe pagkatapos ng last class namin ng hapong iyon.

"I hurt my pair," sagot ko.

He heaved a sigh.

"You know, you gotta need to do something about your anger issues. Maybe go see some doctor."

"Are you kidding me?" inis na tanong ko sa kanya. " Here I am trying to seek some help from you tapos ito lang ang sasabihin mo sa akin?"

"Look, Bro, chill" sabi niya."I can cope with your mood swings but to hurt your pair? That's another story. I suggest you go seek some doctor and we'll see what the advice will be for you."

Ako naman ang napabuntong-hininga.

"Here, I prepared this all for you," nakangiting sabi sa akin ni Jade habang inihahanda ang pagkain sa aking harapan pagkatapos kong makipag-usap kay Dad.

I wasn't in a good mood so I ended up throwing all the food on his face.

"Clean that up and get the hell out of here after, you stupid piece of trash," galit na sabi ko sa kanya.

Nakita ko kung paano siya umiiyak habang nililigpit ang mga nabasag na tablewares at mga nagkalat na pagkain.

I only wanted to vent my anger to the person I first saw. And it happens to be my pair.

Napatingin ako kay Jade habang naglalakad ito palayo. He looked thinner. When was the last time we spend good time together? High school? During my breaks?

"P-please M-Marius n-not now," mahina niyang sabi kinagabihan noong gusto kong makipag-mate sa kanya.

Nagalit ako sa kanya.

"How dare you? Are you trying to say I can't go my way on you? You're my omega and I will have my way on you matter what," galit na sabi ko sa kanya and then shove it inside of him without even preparing him.

Hindi na bago sa akin kung napasigaw sa sakit si Jade. I only focused on getting myself out inside of him. I only wanted to feel the pleasure his body can give me.

And I was too blind to see that he's not happy with me anymore.

"Sir, we got lead," sabi sa akin ni Cleo noong tumawag ito sa akin. "I found some images back in the airport. It was kinda blurry but I'm sure this is Jade," sabi niya sabay bigay sa akin ng mga brown envelope.

Tinanggap ko ito at saka kinuha ang nasa loob niyon. Nakita ko ang mga shots na kung saan naroon ang mga iilang image na maliit na lalaking nakasuot ng hoodie. May mga shots na hagip ang mukha ni Jade.

"He left Bree?" tanong ko sa kanya. "When was this picture taken?"

"Four years ago sir. Pinag-aralan ko ng maiigi ang mga footage ng mga CCTV camera and then I saw this few shots kung saan nahagip si Jade," sabi niya sa akin. "But when I check all the passenger details ng taong iyon, wala Jade ang passenger noon. I come to conclude that maybe he changed his name."

Iyon din ang aking hinala. Hindi ganun kabilis makalalis si Jade kung hindi ito naka pagpalit ng pangalan at pera. Obviously, someone helped him escape from my mansion and to this country.

Pero hindi ko alam kung may kapatid pa si Jade diro sa Bree.

"Ano iyon?"

"Jade had a sister."

"She's one of your servants before. Her name is Bella."

Hindi ako makahuma. Bella is Jade's older sister? Paanong? Why did I not noticed it?

"Oh, what's up, Bro? Why are you calling during wee hours?" inaantok nitong tanong.

"I'm coming there."

"Where?"

"There. Right where you are."

"Bakit? Why the sudden?" takang tanong nito.

"I need to find my pair. I heard that maybe he's in there," sagot ko. "I'm not expecting but I'm hoping."

"Alright. I'll prepare your room. Kelan ka ba pupunta?"

"One of these days, Bro. I'm really desperate to find him."

"I'll help you alright. Just relax. I'll wait for you."

Aster, isa itong maliit na bansa. Hindi kasing dami ng Bree ang mga nakatira rito. I'm sure, mahahanap ko rito si Jade.

"Are you sure na okay ka lang dito bro? I mean you can temporarily live in my house," sabi sa akin ni Seb pagdating ko kinagabihan doon via private jet.

"Yeah. I don't want to bother you. Bukas na bukas rin ay ipapahanap ko na rin si Jade. I have fifteen days ro do that," sagot ko sa kanya.

Tinapik-tapik ni Seb ang aking balikat.

"Take it easy bro. You want to talk about all of this?" tanong niya.

Bumuntong-hininga ako.

"I'm a prick," sabi ko sa kanya bago naupo sa sofa na kwarto na inarkila ko. "I deserve all this," sabi ko pa.

Alam ni Seb ang kwento namin ni Jade but I never let him meet my omega whenever he's in my house.

"Four years. For four years, I had suffer," sabi ko sa kanya. "I regret everything. I know it's too late pero kapag binigyan ako ng pagkakataon, I want to make everything up. Man, I'm so stupid."

"It's not your fault. It was because you can't control your bipolar syndrome. If ever you find him here, explain everything. I know your omega will understand you," sabi niya.

"If I listened to you before, hindi na sana ito nangyari sa amin," naiiyak kong sabi.

Damn it. This pain and longing are unbearable. I spent four years looking for him.

Kinabukasan ay nagsimula akong ipahanap si Jade.

I doubted it. Pero hindi naman malinang umasa hindi ba? Maybe just a smidget chance of finding him will cause me a forever of being thankful.

At tulad na nga ng inaasahan, umuwi ako sa Bree na basang sisiw. Hindi ko mahanap si Jade. Umuwi ako ako sa mansion mag-isa.

This house has already been empty since the day Jade vanished. Ayoko sanang umuwi dito. I don't kike going home to a empty mansion let alone going to sleep with an empty bed.

"So tell me. Hanggang kelan ka ba maghahanap diyan sa omega mong hindi mo mahanap-hanap?" tamong sa akin ni Dad pagkatapos ng business meeting namin mula sa ibang bansa.

"Dad please? I'm really in the mood to argue right now," sagot ko sa kanya bago niluwagan ang aking necktie.

"You're not getting younger, Marius. You need an heir. You cannot rely on a mate who doesn't want to be found. Dapat ay alam mo na iyan. It has been four years. Don't you think he had another alpha male now? Or maybe living happily? Did you consider that?" sabi sa akin ni Dad.

I don't really want to argue with the old man. I was exhausted, physically and mentally.

They said that the urge to find your fated pair is stronger than the love you felt for your partner. But that is correct.

A biting mark can be erased by the other alpha only if the omega allows it.

I knew deep in my heart that there will be ninety percent of chances that Jade will definitely do that. But I already prayed and wished that he would do that.

"How about the huge ferris wheel? I haven't been there even once," sagot niya.

"Nah. I'm not really used to those kinds of expensive places. I'm just a simple person with a simple taste," sagot niya.

I didn't really understand him at first but the longer we've been together, the more I have come to know him better. For an omega who grew in a poor situation, he's not materialistic kind of a guy. Kuntento na siya kung anong meron siya. Sabi niya ay pinalaki siya ng kanyang mga magulang na ganoon.

"What do you think about this ring?" minsang tanong ko sa kanya after ng semestral break. Umuwi ako ng maaga upang ipasyal sa marangyang lugar si Jade as I promise I made to him.

At first he was hesitant. Ayaw niya sa mga ganoong lugar. For him, a park will do but of course, ako ang nagwagi.

But time, he's already so distant from me and I was too blind to see.
