We ran, in the quiet of the night. We jumped from branch to branch, every once in a while one of the scouts ahead of us would drop down and slit a guards throat, quick and quiet, they never saw what happened until it was too late. We waited for over a month to see if Lilian would tell them where our base was, but more and more it became obvious she was dead. We never found who snuck her out, if someone even did. I still had a slight belief that she gathered her remainder of strength and broke out on her own, but I also didn’t see her since Sevra wouldn’t let me. So in the end, she was the only one who knew exactly what her condition was and if it was possible.
