I woke up to the sound of the birds outside my window. I groaned and sat up, feeling still tired. The events of yesterday were slowly trickling back into my mind, making me cringe. I could practically feel the book pulsating underneath me. I knew I needed to pull it out and look at it, but I needed to wait for Jade. It wasn’t right that I went to the cabin without her, not that I could even figure out how I got there or back home. It wasn’t right that I discovered what we are and opened the book without her. I needed to wait for her and go through everything I discovered, then we’d go through the book together.
