Chapter 12
Jane woke up when the morning sun started to shine on her face. Reaching over she thought she would be able to snuggle into Alex’s arms but there was no one in the bed with her. Jane sat up when she realized that Alex was not in the bed. Looking around the room Jane rose from the bed and headed to the bathroom to get ready. Once Jane was finished with her morning routine she went in search of Alex.
As Jane stepped out into the hall she could hear the murmur of voices coming from Alex’s office. Jane made her way down the hall and to his office. Before she could knock on the door it opened.
“Jane! I am so glad that you are up. I meant to be back in bed before you woke up but was not able to get away in time.” Alex reached for Jane and pulled her into a hug as soon as he saw h
