Chapter 16
With the rising of the sun Jane was up. She really needed to know more about August and how to help him. Jane was cooking eggs in the kitchen when August stumbled into the room.
“Well, good morning sleepy head. Did you have a good nights sleep?” Jane turned to smile as she asked this question. Before August could answer the toast popped up in the toaster.
“It was great. The bed is amazing. Is that eggs?” August had a hungry look in his eyes as he eyed the eggs.
With a laugh Jane scooped up eggs and a piece of toast then placed them on a plate right in front of August. August dug into the food before Jane could say anything. Jane shook her head and then made a plate for herself.
Once both had had their fill of breakfast Jane directed August to help clean up the kitchen.
