Chapter 10
Jane could see what type of father Alex would be just by watching him this the small child. Jane had made four sandwiches but did not get to eat a one because Alex and the little girl gobbled them all down. After the little girl has finished her two sandwiches she turned to Alex to watch him eating his sandwiches but before Alex could finish the second one he handed it to the little girl.
“So are you going to tell us your name or are you just going to eat?” Alex spoke to the little girl as she was finishing off her third glass of milk. The little girl used the back of her hand to wipe her mouth.
“My name is Lily. I do not have anyone. Those mean people tried to keep me but I was able to get away from them.” Lily explained everything with a sad look on her sweet face.
