Chapter 32The second day after the storm, Samuel and Talya decided to set sail northward in search of another secluded cove, closer to Gladstone. Staying near Bundaberg would soon attract attention. They needed to move. Yet, before they did, Talya called Fred Gibson. She and Samuel needed to know if anyone had located them already.
“Thank God you’re still alive!” Fred exclaimed jocularly as soon as he heard Talya’s voice.
“Yes, Fred, we’re both surviving. But we need to make land soon; we’re getting low on water and provisions. We’d just like to know if there’s been any change that we should be aware of.”
