"Darren where are you taking me?" I ask as we walked out of his dorm building he led me by the wrist.

"Stop asking and pick up the pace. You are a soccer player are you not?" Darren asked rhetorically.

"Yes, but you know damn well I stay in the goalie box." Darren laughed as he continued to basically drag me to where ever.

The sun was setting as he finally slowed down. We were on a bridge it was a small one, but it was still a bridge with water running underneath it, the sunset was being reflected on the surface of the water and I gasped.

"This is what I wanted to show you." Darren stated leaning forward on the bridge to look at the scene before us, "It's my favorite spot to go and watch the sunset."

"It's beautiful." I smile staring at Darren then the sunset.

"Hey, Kal don't you want pictures for your scrapbook?" Darren said catching me off guard.

"You remember my scrapbook?" Mildly surprised.

"You thought I forgot?"Darren asked turning around and leaning against the bridge looking at me. The sun was behind him and it was making him glow, but his eyes flashed with hurt, just a little bit. Aw.

"No, it's not that I meant. I wasn't expecting you to mention it, but now that you have, let's take a picture." I said coming closer to Darren.

We both pulled out our phones Darren let me take my photo first then he took his.

"Wanna make a video?"

"Like a Tik Tok?"

"Hell no do either of us like Tik Tok?" Darren asked smiling and I laughed as he leaned his phone against the pastry box and started the video.

"You started the video without telling me what we were doing." I huff, Darren didn't respond but he stood closer to me.

"Just trust me." he whispered in my ear pulling me closer. He placed his hand on my lower back and intertwined our hands, he set a tempo and I followed him, following an imaginary song.

He slowed down and whispered in my ear once more, "Can I kiss you?"

"Please do." I whispered softly as he cupped my face, leaned closer to me the pressed his lips to mine. I pull him closer to me and he does the same. I slowly pull away from Darren to catch my breath my eyes were still closed as I felt him rest his forehead against mine.

"I think your phone is still recording us." I say to him when I finally catch my breath and open my eyes.

"Shit." He pulls away from me and I put my face in my sleeves to hide my embarrassment. Darren comes over to me with my box in hand. He looked like he wanted to say something, he opened his mouth and closed it like a fish out of water. I waited for him to speak, but he shook his head and I didn't press it.

We talked softly as he wrapped his arm around my neck as he walked with me slowly.

"Darren, what time is it?" He pulled his phone out and it read five forty-five.

"My Lyft isn't too far." Darren and I looked at my phone then each other and we started running to the front of the school. Soccer gods help me now.

We made it to the Lyft by five fifty-three with time to spare.

The soccer gods love me on this day. I thought harshly breathing in and out.

"I guess soccer has been doing something for you after all." I hit Darren in his knee.

"Thank you for today though. I really had fun." I say feeling a blush rise to my face remembering our kiss not too long ago.

"Yeah me too, we should do it again." Darren says with a light blush crossing his face giving me his dorkiest smile that I've seen yet.

"I would like that a lot." My smile widens as I see a car pull up, "That's my ride home." I look at my phone then the car's license plate.

"Yea I guess it is" Darren opened the door for me and I got in as he handed me my pastry box as I was getting ready to close the door he stopped me, "Wait, wait, I have two things to ask of you." I raise an eyebrow for him to continue. "Go out with me?"

I blinked and nodded excitedly, "And the other thing?"

"May I have another kiss?" I pulled him down feeling my face heat up as we kissed and he slowly pulled away, "Until later." Darren winked as he closed the door waving goodbye to me as the car started driving away.

"I'm sorry about that by the way. I wasn't expecting that." I whisper to the driver.

"It's alright love, it's nice to see young people fall in love." He said and my face erupted.

"Thank you and have a good night." I say to the driver as I get out.

"You too dear." I wave goodbye as I walk up the stairs to my house going over to my dad sitting on the porch drinking.

"Good night sir."

"Good night ma'am." He said back as I leaned down to hug him.

"I got some cannolis and other things for you and Mommy." He ruffled my hair letting me go inside the house. Mommy’s still at work I’ll have to call her. I put the box in the fridge with the label Mom and Dad then head to my room. I call my Mom to let her know that I made it home safely and I bought stuff for her, then walk up to my room.

I flopped onto my bed and squeal, tossing and turning on my bed freaking the ever f**k out at today's events. I confessed, got my first kiss, then got a second kiss, AND asked out on a date. ME GOING ON A DATE IS WILDDDDD! I NEVER woulda imagined this, this is mind-blowing! And everything went so well! I can't believe it!

I pinch myself all over my body to make sure for certain that this wasn't a dream when my phone buzzed from my back pocket. Darren. He sent the video we made and asked if I was home. I saved the video and responded. I watched the video and I almost screamed at what I was seeing in the video. I'll talk to him more tomorrow I have a long day a head of me tomorrow.
