Derek POV My phone buzzing on the nightstand pulls me out of the most peaceful sleep I've ever had. I grab for the phone, silencing it without even checking whose calling. No one is important enough for me to disturb the woman I'm holding in my arms. She snuggles into my side and I place my nose in her hair, breathing in her scent. She smells of lavender and vanilla. I decided it's my new favorite scent. "It might be considered creepy to smell a woman's hair while she is sleeping," she says, and I smile. She picks up her head and stares into my eyes.
