As soon as Briar steps into the suite, I can see she is upset. I rush over and pull her into a hug. "What happened Briar? Was Calob there? Are you alright?" She chuckles at my rapid-fire questions. She pulls back and, despite her soft smile, there is sadness in her eyes. "Lucy showed up carrying on like a lunatic. She followed us to the condo. Then Calob showed up saying she needed to stay away from him and his wife. I don't even know how he knew we were there," Briar says, and my heart breaks for my sweet girl.
