Robert’s Point of view
I arrived at the airport and the first person I had to see was Ayanna Torres, Why of all people? I thought she used Chartered flights.
I waited for her to settle in her seat before walking over to her. As soon as I got close to where she was, I could smell the strong perfume she wore that night.
I couldn’t help but just walk away, she had just told me she was not interested in seeing me.
I went over to my seat and settled in, but my eyes were on her the entire time we were on this plane.
As soon as we were going to the parking lot, I had to make sure I see her before she leaves.
“Hey Torres, it was good to see you” I shouted after her as she made way to the car. She didn’t turn back but just got in the car and drove off.
I smiled at myself as I got in the car. She just didn’t realize that she would see me throughout the time I will stay at the same hotel with her.
I got in the car and drove off, going to the hotel.
I got to the hotel and I believe she had already checked in first. Without wasting time, I went to the reception and got my card to my room. I wondered what this place had in store for me.
I was looking forward to seeing Ayanna every day.
I got to my room and went straight to checking what the bathroom looked like; I had gotten the suite by the corner. I left the bathroom, going to the top-to-bottom windows that went around the room.
I was glad I took a room that was overlooking the city.
“Is there anything else you require, Sir?” He questioned me as I shook my head.
“That will be all, thank you,” I said to him, getting a tip for him from my wallet. The butler was a young man who seemed in his early twenties.
I sighed heavily before I unpacked my bag; I needed to find myself some whiskey to have for the night. I didn’t want to look at my documents because I knew it would just ruin my night.
After I finished unpacking, I went to take a shower, ready to go to the bar. I wore dark blue casual pants, a white shirt, and brown suede dress shoes from one of my collections.
I checked myself in the mirror before leaving the room. I just stepped out of my room going into the hallway and I bumped into Ayanna. She had not yet changed and was going to her room.
She was going to be staying right next to me!
“Are you that attracted to me you had to come to stay next to me?” I inquired from her and she scoffed.
“No, I heard some asshole took away my room because he is some shareholder here, so I had to take this one,” she snapped as I raised my eyebrows.
“You have such a foul mouth you know that?” I questioned her as she rolled her eyes. She looked more attractive when she did that.
“If my hotel doesn’t meet your standards, perhaps you can arrange somewhere else….?” I questioned her and she scoffed, looking at me from head to toe.
“I have no time for your bullshit… You an asshole” She said getting in the room as I smiled at myself. She had a temper and I think I loved that about her?
I smiled, walking away from the door as I made my way to the ground floor; I needed to meet the hotel’s manager. Yes, I owned about thirty percent of this hotel that’s why I was staying here.

Next day
Early in the morning, I made my way to the restaurant, I needed to have something salty to eat. I couldn’t believe that I spent the entire night drinking alone.
I wore a charcoal gray suit with a black shirt and like always without a necktie. I unbuttoned one button.
I found in the restaurant Ayanna was sitting chatting with some men whom I believe were business associates.
I approached their table as I prepared myself on talking to them. Before I could even reach the table, I saw Ayanna stand up with other men who joined too.
I sighed heavily as I turned to find a table for myself. I waited for some time before my breakfast was served. I had requested that I find breakfast every morning at 7:30 am.
After having my breakfast, I went to the conference hall. I went around greeting a few guests before going to settle just opposite Ayanna.
I spent most of the time just looking at her; I wondered why she had settled to live that kind of life when she could have any man that she wanted.
After the meeting ended later in the evening, I decided I needed to cool off at the pool before having my dinner.
I went to the swimming pool in my robe and carried some towels; I started swimming.
“Perhaps I can buy you a drink later?” I heard Ayanna’s voice. Who was she talking to? I wondered.
I continued swimming until when I heard the people with Ayanna leave, then I got out of the pool.
I walked to the chair where I had put my robe, and that is where Ayanna was coming from.
“Well…. I see you are trying to find a man, Ivo Thomas? Serious?” I said, chuckling softly as she rolled her eyes.
“I have no business with you, Rob” she responded walking past me, I turned around going after her.
“Is that so? Care to tell me what that statement from the workshop was about?” I said to her as she chuckled looking at me from head to toe but stopped when she came looked at my chest.
“Yo-you” she stuttered while looking at me.
“What?” I said, then I realized she was looking at my scar, I had a scar on the upper part of my left breast.
I quickly covered it up as I looked at her. She seemed in shock after she saw the scar. Did she recognize me? I saw her swallow hard as she looked in my eyes.
“Excuse me!” She said pushing me aside as she rushed out of the place. Did she recognize who I am?
I wanted to go after her but decided against it. She kept on looking back until she vanished into the room.
I got dressed nicely before heading back to my room; I stood by my door as I looked at hers. Should I ask her? I thought to myself.
I raised my eyebrows before heading to my room, I quickly changed into something else before I changed into something casual. I ordered my dinner because I didn’t want to run into Ayanna in the restaurant.
***********
The next morning, I went back for our morning session training. Every time I looked at Ayana our eyes would meet and she would then turn to look ahead.
“Robert?” Tina the moderator called my name as I came back to reality.
“Uh…” I said, looking around after noticing that everyone had shifted their attention to me.
“Sorry, what was the question?” I said, pulling my seat nicely as Ayanna dropped her head.
“We are talking about conflict management as someone in leadership,” She said as I paused looking at her.
“Well, it’s hard for leaders to manage conflicts but the best way to deal with it is trying to get the facts then decide then… I think you will all agree with me it’s difficult sometimes we end up taking the side of someone that we like more, which is wrong but we do it anyway,” I said to her and the room was all quiet.
“Wow! That was an honest answer” Tina said, everyone just brought out in laughter as I turned to look at Ayanna who had a smile on her face. I sighed heavily, focusing on the training.
I needed to get her out of my mind; I have had s*x with different women but somehow; I was curious about her and whys she lived like this.
After the evening session, I made my way to the bar where I went to drink. After I finished drinking, I waited for Ayanna by the door to her room.
I saw her coming towards me and when she wanted to turn away; I grabbed her hand. “You! You know me don’t you” I questioned her, and I saw her swallow hard as she looked away. What was happening with her?
“Ayanna Look at me…” I said to her. She yanked my hand away from mine as she scoffed.
“What’s wrong with you? I know who you are, haven’t you tried to ruin my company for over 15 years now?” She snapped at me as I shook my head.
“Not like this…. I know What I am talking about, why did you look at my scar like that?” I questioned her and she chuckled before putting on a straight face.
“Because it scared the s**t out of me! I just realized that maybe that’s why your fiancée ran away with your brother,” She said coming closer to where I was.
I grabbed her by her arm and pulled her closer to me as I inhaled her cologne. She didn’t pull away but just stood there frozen.
“I want you….” I let out the words as I heard a gasp from her. What was happening to me? This wasn’t me,
