The Lawsuit

Ayanna’s POV

I stood in front of the mirror looking at myself as I put on my earrings; I was feeling down these past few days, so last night really helped me feel much better. I traced where the man was touching me last night and I felt shivers all over my body once again.

I wore a slim white Pantsuit and Nude heels; I grabbed my nude handbag and walked to my carport before getting in my Mercedes and driving off to work.

I walked into the building as I noticed people rushing to their office as soon as they saw me.

“Did you get what I asked you?”  I questioned Charlotte as she joined me as we walked to the elevator.

“Yes, take a look,” She said handing me the file as I started going through the file she had brought to me.

“What is the claim?”  I asked her as she looked at me.

“Well, she says after using the products for about a week she had terrible acne which caused her not being used for a photo shoot. And she lost…”  Charlotte tried to explain to me as I closed the file, handing it to her.

“I will not give her any penny, tell her that. Also, can you look at her accounts?  I have a feeling this has something to do with Robert,” I said to her as we stepped out of the elevator heading towards my office.

“I will do that, but what do you plan on doing after you have all the details?”  She questioned me as I smiled at her.

“Wait till I meet that bastard,” I said to her getting in my office. She turned around, walking back to the elevator. I went to sit down in my chair thinking of what I will do to him once I find out the reason why that woman is asking for $500,000 in compensation and for laser treatment for her acne.

I promised myself that I would make him pay for everything he has done. Even if it was the last thing I did. For days I waited for Charlotte to bring me some good news, I just couldn’t wait to put Robert in his place.

I spent my entire day looking at reports when I saw my phone vibrating on the table. I knew

“Hello? Tell me you have good news” I said to her through the phone.

“I actually have more than good news, I am on my way to you right now” She excited said to me as I nodded my head smiling at myself as I thought about what I will do to him.

I anxiously waited for Charlotte as I packed everything I was working on. She barged into my office with the documents and placed them on my desk.

“What am I looking at?”  I questioned her as I went through the documents she had just given me.

“So, it seems our good old friend has connections with the lady, she received about $100,000 in total in the last few months form this account. When I went back to trace who it belongs to, I discovered it belonged to a friend to Robert.”  She explained to me as I looked at the statements, nodding my head as I beamed.

“Also, I found these photos,” She said to me giving me the pictures of Robert in a car and the woman coining out of his car.

“Wow! Unbelievable!”  I exclaimed as I looked at the pictures, amused with what I had just found out.

“I guess I am paying out good friend a visit today. Can you lock up for me?”  I questioned her as I grabbed my handbag and laptop.

“Sure, just be careful so he doesn’t hurt you okay?”  She questioned me; I nodded my head rushing out of the office. I went to the parking lot; I got in my car and drove off to meet Robert.

I reached by his company; I walked in as everyone gave me frosty glares. I made my way to the elevator going to his office.

 I got off his floor and headed straight to his office, “Excuse me Ma’am you can’t go in there” His assistant tried to stop me but I had already opened the door going inside.

“You really are trying to piss me off, aren’t you?” I asked, throwing the file on his desk as I settled in a chair adjacent to him.

“What’s this?” He questioned me, standing up as I raised my eyebrows.

“God Rob, are you not tired of this? Please, just accept it. People prefer my products combined to yours> Stop trying to damage our image,” I said to him standing up from the chair.

“I don’t know what you are talking about. And if it's about this picture. I am f*****g the lady, it’s just mere coincidence,” He said to me as I scoffed going near him.

“I know that’s what you think, but if you don’t want me to come for your throat. I will suggest you fix this,” I said to him wanting to walk away but stopped in my tracks.

“If it’s a good f**k that will stop her, I will implore you to make it your best,” I said winking at him as I put on my cut-out cat eye Sunglasses as I walked out of the office.

I made my way to the elevator and exhaled heavily as I looked ahead, the elevator doors opened and I made my way to my car smiling widely. I could imagine Robert’s face right now.

I got in my car, turning on the radio as I hummed along to the song which was playing.  I had sorted that issue with Robert and I would celebrate tonight.

My phone rang, and I picked up, knowing too well that Charlotte was letting me know of the good news I excitedly picked up. 

“Hello?” I said through the phone without looking at the screen.

“She dropped the Lawsuit,” She said to me as I scoffed, nodding my head.

“Sounds like we are partying tonight” I commented as she laughed, I knew she was over the moon with the news.

“Yeah! I will meet you at home with a bottle of wine,” she said to me as I nodded my head.

“Great! I will see you soon,” I said, cutting the line.

It was an achievement once again for me; the lawsuit had been an issue and almost every time I opened my social media people were talking about my products and companies wanted to even cancel some orders; they had placed But I was glad I sorted it out.

I pulled over in my yard and I found charlotte already home with the wine. I just took off my glasses and going to sit on my couch.

“Well done! I didn’t think he would drop it so fast,” She said to me as she handed me a glass of wine.

“I guess he saw that I was not playing this time,” I said to her, drinking from my glass.

“Let’s raise our glass to it then!” She said to me as I nodded my head, toasting to it. I had just gotten rid of a tick in my flesh so I needed to drink to it.
