CHAPTER SIX ANNA I arrived at the hotel, changed into my pajamas, completely exhausted. Which meant that I ended up staring at the ceiling, my mind whirling, completely unable to sleep. It didn't help that my stomach was rumbling. Apparently I hadn't eaten as many appetizers as I'd thought. I pulled on a sweatshirt and went downstairs to the hotel bar. It was past midnight, and there were all of three people sitting at the bar. Based on their clothing, they'd also come from a wedding. When I spotted Rowan sitting at a booth in the corner by himself, I didn't react quickly enough to avoid his gaze. And when he motioned me to sit with him, I sighed inwardly.
