"Mom both of your feet are swollen!" I said as I was reluctant to take her to Arjun's party tonight. I had told her earlier, that she will be accompanying me to the party. But now that she is not fine from her health point of view, I won't take her to that party. Even I myself was reluctant to go there alone.
"So what, son? I can manage." She argued.
"Mom, please! I am thinking that even I should not go there." I suggested as I sat down on the couch, and started to loosen my tie, I had worn a black tux with a white shirt and black tie, when I saw mom's swollen feet. She had been planning to not tell me about her feet as she knew I would get worried. Mom has bilateral osteoarthritis in her ankles, and as a result, both of her ankles swell at times.
