The envelope

JACKSON I went inside the car and drove to the nearest seven-star hotel where we would be spending the night. During the whole ride, she was fidgeting, as is she was worried about something. "Don't worry, I'm not a bad person." I said, in order to make her comfortable. "I know that..." She mumbled. "Then what is it?" I asked, still without looking at her, and with my gaze focused on the road. "My daughter was sick back at home, I'm just worried about her." She told me. "Then call her." I told her with a shrug. "We have just one cell phone, and that is with me." I answered truthfully as she took out her cell phone from her handbag and showed it to me. I did not want to do it, but I did. I could not stop myself from helping a single mother. I can't be a bastard and use her for my convenience, when her daughter is sick at her home. When we were just outside the seven star hotel, I changed my mind. "Tell me your address?" I asked her. "Address?" She asked as she looked at me shockingly. "Yes, your address?" I asked yet again. "But we are not done yet..." She muttered. " It's okay, you need to go to your daughter." I told her but my words resulted in making her anxious. " Don't worry about the money, keep all of it with you." I assured her. Her eyes brimmed with tears as she told me her address and I drove to her place. That was a cosy place, with not so good sanitation. Lot of people stood there, on the street as they watched us when my car entered the street. "Here it is." She said as she director towards a small house. I stopped the car in front of her house and she got off immediately. "Please come inside... I know this place is not according to your standards, but I will be obliged if you'll come inside. " She said with a little smile. I don't know why but I could not make myself say no to her. So I went inside. A little girl of nearly nine years was laying on the bed. She looked pale. "How are you feeling now, honey?" The woman ran to her daughter and touched her forehead. "My head hurts, Mumma..." The little girl spoke with great difficulty. "Please have a seat... you'll have coffee?" The woman asked as she looked in my direction. "You should take care of your daughter, take her to a good hospital. " I suggested. The money that I gave her would be enough for her daughter's treatment. "Yes, thanks." She muttered awkwardly. I was about to leave her house, but she called me out, "Sir!" I looked back at her, and she quickly came closer to me. "What?" I asked. Without answering me, she took out her cell phone and clicked a selfie of herself with me. Before taking the selfie, she took my hand and placed it over her waist, she then grinned widely and clicked the selfie. I chuckled at her act and raised my brows in question. "Just wait for tomorrow, rich man!" She winked and then went to her daughter. Whatever! I exited her house and exited the cozy place with my car. Whatever I had planned did not happen but I was happy that I met her. If she would have met any other man, then he surely would not have given her two thousand dollars, and moreover, her daughter needed her at this moment. She should be with her daughter. Also, Stella saw her with me, so her doubt about me being gay might be cleared by now. But why is the hell am I being bothered by her? She may think whatever I want, the only thing I want is to stop the stupid murmurs that are always around me. And I want my mom to stop stressing herself by thinking that her son is gay. . . . . . The next morning, there were pictures all over the internet, on the news channels, as well as in newspapers. It was my picture, along with the p********e whom I had met yesterday. It was the same selfie that she took the last time. She probably had sent the picture to the paparazzi. 'Good job, done, girl!' I thought as a smirk formed on my face. This was exactly what I had wanted. As I sat on my chair in my cabin when someone knocked on the door. "Come in!" A moment later, Stella came in and handed me an envelope. "What is this?" I asked her as I analyzed the envelope. It looked like some kind of letter. Was she resigning? "A girl came and told me to give it to you." She told me with her lips pursed. "Okay, you may leave now," I said and dismissed her. As soon as she was out of my cabin, I opened the envelope and took out a letter from it. 'Thank you so much for helping me the last night. I hope what I did today was what you wanted to be done. I will pray for your happiness, and hopefully, soon you will get to meet your soulmate...not mentioning my name because you don't need to know that.' She had even marked the outside of the envelope with her lipstick. I chuckled as I folded the letter back. That woman was not a bad idea. Ultimately, all my issues were solved. I sat back comfortably on my chair as I thought about my departure to India. I hope that I will be able to find my Misty one day. One of the reasons to visit India was the hope to find her. But that was really a difficult task. Without her real identity, it would really be very difficult to find her. . . . . . . . TO BE CONTINUED...
