Authors note:
Hey Dreamers!
So, right now I'm working on two stories: Her Billionaire Vigilante for the Billionaire CEO contest, and Royals and Rebels book 4: The Bad Luck Prince. Each Royals and Rebels book is a stand alone that takes place in the same world, focusing on different monarchies throughout Europe. In this world, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, and England are their own, separate things. This particular book is going to focus on Ireland, and Prince Aiden's story.
If you have read Royals and Rebels book 2: Love and War, Aiden is the Prince of Ireland who antagonizes Penelope and Cadoc trying to keep them apart. This is one part of his story, involving Lucy Lark. Ireland's really special to me, because my Moms side of the family is Irish. After she met my grandfather in World War Two, she came to the U.S. Although I wasn't raised Catholic, the religion was in my life because of my Moms family, and because of that I was always aware of the strife between Catholics and Protestants, particularly in Ireland.
Ireland has a long, complicated history with its independence and the United Kingdom (as do Scotland and Wales). I didn't want to gloss over that simply because it was a work of fiction, but I recognized that Catholicism is a huge part of Irish identity (not my identity, because I'm agnostic). If you've ever watched the show Derry Girls on netflix, it details some of the conflict as teenage girls grow up in the middle of it and there are numerous documentaries you can watch on a time which is referred to as The Troubles. But there will be discussions of faith in this story. As well as violence and s*x. If that isn't your cup of tea, I suggest you look elsewhere. But I wanted you to be forewarned before you jump in.
Anyway, I do hope you do decide to read, and I hope you enjoy it. Hope everyone is well, and staying safe.
Love n' stars,
Cambria Covell
