I watched her gorgeous face completely drain of all color and her eyes glaze over. My stomach twisted into knots and my heart felt jammed in my f*****g throat. It took all my willpower to keep myself from visibly breaking down from all the pain I was feeling; the only pain I could feel...Niki's pain. Pain I'd caused her once again.
