A New Beginning

It was finally the day elena would be entering college, she had dress in her finest clothes and done a little make up as she adjusted her glass while looking at the mirror

She sighed as she saw how she looked like, no matter how many times she looked at the mirror she is always filled with this inferior complex that she was not even as beautiful as the average colleague girls

This impression all started at high school when she had a few problems with her sight and she had to wear glasses,

Due to her father not being the very rich type they had to save up for her treatments and they just moved to another state

she also had to change to a new school and on the first day she had been quick to impress her teachers as she showed her

Strong point as a very intelligent girl but while she was raking up the limelight and having fun someone else was boiling and that was that was the Queen bee of the school

She held the position of the most brilliant person and was someone who was popular and very famous, so when someone like Elena came from no where with a scholarship into a prestigious college and out did her in class

She felt her position of being the most brilliant student in the school being threatened and she decided to make Elena's life a living hell in the school

Always body shaming her and telling her how ugly she looked with those nerdy glass and how she would never amount to any thing in life

This led to Elena almost never having any friends in school though the teacher saw this and reprimanded Felicia all the time but she never changed her attitude

Since her father was one of the big boss who alwsy sent a donation to the school they let it slide by but

Though this all started with the Queen bee Felicia screaming at her in the school halls, but it pretty much became a normal thing

When most boys who want to impress Felicia just to get into her pants decide to use elena as a target ti get her attention

Or the new girls in school who wanted to join her clique of cool girls group also picked on Elena just to get in Felicia good side

In a simple sentence high school was hell for her since she had to put up with Felicia and the whole school being against her

She never spent a day at school without being reminded her pitiful her family was that they had to rely on her to get a scholarship just so they could send her to one of the best schools in the country

Though Elena deserved all of this but the mental manipulation was getting the best of her and it affected her grades and this was just one of the things Felicia wanted as

No one wanted to walk with her so as not to get in the bad side of the school Queen Bee and she never even got to live her fantasy of having a boyfriend as most guys avoided her like she was a plague

It was a lonely journey for her.

Elena inhale deeply before releasing all the pent up frustration inside her, as she tried to pick all her crumbled confidence up

" I might not be as beautiful as Felicia but at least now I don't have to see her ugly face again, am going to college and am going to start my life afresh am so f*****g happy"

Elena said to herself after a long sigh, she quickly picked up her backpack and dragged herself out of her room as she made her way downstairs

" Goodmorning mom, Good morning dad" Elena quickly greeted her parent

" how is my little angel doing today, quick come join us, your mom just finished making breakfast"

" don't keep spoiling her like that she didn't even come down to assist me" Elena's Mom pouted her face as she scolded her husband who was used to spoiling there daughter and showering her with unlimited love

" nah darling don't say that you do know the little angel is going to college toady, she is officially a big girl( Chuckles)" the old man chuckle as he beckoned towards his daughter to come closer

Without wasting anymore time Elena quickly moved closer to her father and pecked his forehead while she stretched he hand and took a cookie off his plate

Her mother tried hitting her hand but she seems skilled in it and quickly evaded her mother hands, she took the milk on the table gulping it in one go before putting the cookie on her mouth

While showing her father her innocent smile

" sorry dad, but I can't stay long, you know it's my first day and I don't want to be late, because like you always say first impression matters"

Elena replied as she dashed out of the house

" Atleast let me ride you to school angel!!!"

"No need Dad"

Elena replied her father as she dashed out of the house, the moment he turned his head he smiled nervously as he saw his wife glaring at him furiously

" I promise, I was not going to bail on my meal"

Elena's father said with his hands slightly raised in the air as a defeat general surrendering, his wife only snorted and walked away

Elena family were not rich in fact they were just trying there best to stay as a normal middle class family, it has not really been easy on them

But the family pride has always been there daughter who has never given them any reason to worry, infact she had won a scholarship to college just as she had always done in the past

And that is why she had been going to school that had alot of rich brats, though the parents have realised a couple of times that there daughter was a victim of bully

But since she never talked about it they decided to not branch the topic, after all the family was just a small one it won't do well to offend the other great family in the city

Just because of teenager quarrels Thai was always the words of Elena's mother, though Elena's father was really mad at this events and have even visited the school sometimes to complain without the knowledge of his daughter

But the result have always been the same, in fact he was one of the happiest when his daughter passed out as she won't have to go through such experience again

Elena finally entered the gate very quickly she called her cousin who was also attending the same college and he came to pick her from the gate with a baggage and helped her settle down he even brought her to the place she collected her new schedule

" thank you really Brandon, seriously you didn't have to go too much stress"

Elena thanked the guy who came to accompany her and helped her with her accommodation for when she decides to stay in school but she did say she would be coming from home since its not that far for her but he also had about three guys following him as he helped her

" it's nothing really, you are family and I already promised your Dad that I would watch over you so it's no big deal"

" if you ever have any problems on campus just look for me and my gang we would gladly help you trash anyone who mess with you".. Brandon said as he introduce his small gang to Elena

In which she shook there hands and exchange a few words with them, she parted ways with him and made her way for her first lecture, and just as she was feeling content she heard a loud voice in the hall

" clear the way, clear the way Felicia Richmond is coming" some one shouted

Bang!!!

The books in Elena's hand fell the moment she heard the name

" No!!!, it can't be her, we can't be in the same college again."
