Chapter Five

After Luna Morgan showed me my room, I went back downstairs to join my brother and Corbin in the theater room. They had snacks and drinks ready, were waiting for me to pick out the movie. Yes, I watched movies with Angelica and Rocky when my mother and Paul didn’t have anything for me to do. I picked out a funny rom-com, and the boys groaned. I curled up in one of the chairs with popcorn and a soda, covering myself with a blanket. Caitlin walked in and sat beside me, stealing a handful of popcorn. “What are you guys watching?” She asked me curiously. “Tovi picked out a chick flick, so we are stuck watching it,” Corbin said sarcastically. “Well, it’s better than the stupid horror or action-packed movies that you guys make me watch with you all the time,” Caitlin said to her brother, throwing a piece of popcorn at him, and sticking her tongue out at him. The guys got into the movie, laughing their asses off. Caitlin looked at me excitedly, “Are you ready for tomorrow? Mom and I agreed that we would get you some adorable outfits so you will look beautiful for your mate when you finally meet him!” I shrugged my shoulders, “I don’t need much. Some new shirts, since many of them got ripped by Paul. I don’t need anything fancy.” She looked at me and smiled. “Trust me, you will have the wardrobe envy of the whole pack! Well, next to mine, of course!” She laughs. The afternoon flew by as we were having fun. More people joined us, including Angelica and Rocky. A couple more movies and several homemade pizzas that Mrs. Smith and the Omegas made for us. It had been a wonderful evening until Chelsea walked in, ruining the mood with her high and almighty attitude. “Why is SHE in here, along with her worthless friends?” She screeched, pointing at me and my friends. “She doesn’t deserve to be in here after what she did to me!” We all just rolled our eyes at her, including Bjorn and Corbin. “Quit the theatrics, Chelsea.” Corbin sighed annoyingly. “We all know that you started it at school, humiliating her in front of everyone. I am tired of your s**t. I do not want to be with someone like you. We are through.” Chelsea’s jaw dropped to the ground. “You are joking, right? We are a strong pack, and the only way we can get stronger is to get rid of the Omegas or make them where they are absolutely nothing but our servants.” “No, the Omegas are not our servants. They are part of the pack, and they help this pack be strong and stay strong.” Bjorn said, with Corbin shaking his head in agreement. “Now, get out because you are ruining the fun with everyone. We do not need that around here,” Corbin said. Chelsea ran out of the room, screaming, “This isn’t over, b***h!” Caitlin, Angelica, and I started laughing. “Bye-bye, witch!” Caitlin waved as Chelsea ran out of the room. It was about midnight before we headed to bed. Caitlin, Angelica, and I walked up the stairs, arms linked together. We are having a small sleepover in my room, something I have always wanted growing up with my friends. “I cannot believe that you are across the hall from me!” Caitlin screeched! “I just cannot believe the room that your parents gave me,” I said excitedly. We stayed up for another hour, talking about the shopping trip, and going over the magazines that Caitlin brought. I woke up at 7 the next morning with Caitlin jumping on the bed. “WAKE UP, SLEEPING BEAUTY!” She said excitedly. “SHOPPING DAY!” I groaned and pulled the pillow over my head, “It’s too early.” “Come on, you need to get dressed and meet us in the dining room for breakfast before we leave,” Caitlin said, walking out the door. “Is she always like this?” Angelica asked, pulling the blanket off her head. I looked at her and shrugged my shoulders. I walked into the bathroom, brushed my teeth, and put my hair in a messy bun. I walked out to the dresser, grabbing a decent T-shirt and leggings. I slipped on some sneakers. I went to the dining room, grabbed some fruit, sausage, and scrambled eggs from the buffet table, and walked to the head table. “Alpha, Luna, good morning,” I said to them both, bowing my head. “Good morning, Tovi. I hope you slept well last night.” Alpha asked me with a smile. “I slept like a log,” I answered, setting my plate down next to Bjorn. “That was until I woke up from a screeching lunatic.” I laughed and looked at Caitlin. Everyone chuckled as she threw a strawberry at me. We had a good breakfast, discussing where we were going to shop. The pack center had many great shops with wonderful clothes, so we did not have to drive far to the mall, an hour away. Luna decided that we were going to the mall. I was excited because I had never been to the mall before, but also nervous because of the crowds. We headed out the door at 9 and into the two SUVs sitting up front. We had a security detail, four warriors to protect Luna and Caitlin. We got to the mall, and I was dragged to every high-end store there. Caitlin and Luna had so much fun picking out clothes that were up-to-date yet practical for me to wear every day. Luna found a beautiful dark green, satin dress that was off the shoulder with a sweetheart neckline, but the back was high enough to cover the scars on my back. By the time we were done, I was worn out. The warriors were carrying several bags, a piece between the three of us. I got a dozen T-shirts, leggings, jeans, clothes to workout in, a couple of cocktail and summer dresses, and the dark green gown. Caitlin overloaded me with tons of shoes, accessories, and make-up. We got loaded into the SUV. I leaned forward and said, “Thank you so much, Luna and Caitlin! This is so much! I will pay you back when I get the money.” “No worry about it, Tovi,” Luna said with a smile. “Seeing you enjoy it all will be the only payback you can give us.” I hugged her over the seat, with tears in my eyes. “Thank you, Luna.” No one has done something this nice for me, other than my Nana, since I was little. It was getting late in the afternoon when we got home, and we were starving. Luckily, Mrs. Smith had sandwiches and snacks made for us and waiting in the fridge. I ate and then took all my bags up to my room. It took me a few hours to put everything away. When I got done, I brushed my teeth, put on my nightie that I had got, and went to bed. I was asleep when my head hit the pillow, excited about my eighteenth birthday tomorrow!
