ZACHARY’s POV.
Plopping down on the chair, I massage the space between my brows as anger continues to wash over me. How did she escape and no one could stop her? It is still so annoying that someone entered my pack house and took her and not one of them could stop the person. The worst part is that no one saw his face. He killed two of my men and left like he f*****g owned the place:

“Are you going to tell me the truth now?” I ask, my voice unusually low, “because I find it hard to believe that someone will walk into the pack house, take her and none of you was able to stop him? What's the worst part? You
didn’t even see his face? How dumb is that?”
“Sorry Alpha” one of them says, “we are still looking for them”
“Are you nuts?” I spring up from my chair in anger, grabbing him by the neck and shoving him towards the wall, “you should be thankful to the moon goddess that you are still alive and kicking, I won’t hesitate to dig your heart out of your body if you do not find the two of them. Am I understood?”
“Yes, alpha” he responds and I shove him off.
“Get lost”
The three of them scurry out of the room while I return to my chair again. For three years, I have worked out my plans perfectly, how to get that money from her and her blood and her venom. Every f*****g thing and someone just broke into my pack house and took her?
It doesn’t sit well with me, who dared to come here and look for my trouble because I am ready to bring down the roof to find her.
The door opens again and Bryer saunters in and from the look on her face, I know she didn’t find any trace of Odette.
Looking at her, I smile a little. All my life, I have known her and I am grateful for the gift of her. For someone like me, she is the one fit to stand beside me, a badass grey wolf and a beta at that. She doesn’t belong to my pack but that doesn’t mean we don’t get the job done when we need to.
“Hey baby” she gently lower herself on my thighs, “it’s like she disappeared into thin air”
“It’s okay” I tuck a few strands of her hair to the back of her ear, “I will find her, she can not escape from me, I know her”
“Do you think she will go to her father?”
“Of course not,” i retort, “the Odette that I know is very prideful and she will not tell anyone about what happened. She wouldn’t want the world to know that the same thing happened to her after her mother”
“Hmmm” Bryer leans forward and kisses me lightly,a mocking smile appearing on her lips “you know your mate”
“I was with her for years, of course I know her”
“Now you are going to make me jealous. I mean, why did I even let you accept her as your mate in the first place?”
“We needed it” I tell her, “and now see, the both of us are unbreakble, we needed her”
“Well, we didn’t need her these past three years”
“But we do and until I get what I want from her, I can’t let her go easily”
“Well, it’s a good thing we made her sign the divorce papers and also got part of her blood. At least half of the job is done”
“Yeah, it is” I snake my hand around her waist and pull her closer, “now I can have you all to myself and publicly parade you as mine”
“You have been doing that”
“Now I want the whole world to know baby. The deal has been signed and now we are on the train for the best of the elites in society, I want to show you off to the world”
“Awnnnnn, how sweet” a huge smile appears on her face, “and I can’t wait babe but we have to be careful. Enzo Phillips is not one to mess with”
“His wife is sick and he is taking care of her. Do you think he has the time to come and cuddle his daughter? That man worships his wife”
“The same way I want you to worship me”
“I already worship you babe”
“I know that” her hand start to carrass my body lightly, “and I am supper excited for what the future holds for us”
I kiss the tip of her nose and as I want to kiss her lips, she slowly pulls away from me and stands up.
“I have to leave now, Zach,” Bryer says.
“Now?” A slight frown appears on my face, “you can wait till tomorrow”
“Have you forgotten I have been away for three days and I am the one taking care of our pack in the absence of our alpha. I can not let the pack go unattended to for that long, he will be very pissed if he finds out”
“Can’t you just tell him you want to leave?” I also stand up, my huge frame towering above her, “you don’t have to kiss up to him anymore. We have everything we will ever need in life”
“It’s not so easy and my alpha is equally as ruthless, just give me a little more time”
I heave a sigh, I hate being away from her and she knows that.
“Fine but I am starting to get impatient babe” I pull her towards me again, “I don’t like being away from you anymore”
“It’s just a matter of time, love. Okay?”
“Fine” leaning closer, she kisses me again as I finally let
her go.
“I should get going now, my flight is in thirty minutes”
“Sure”
After a few more minutes of not wanting her to go, i finally let go of her and I watch her leave.
I remember the day Odette manifested as my mate, the day Bryer cried so much in my arms and it hurt me so much. All my life, I have known her and I always thought we would end up as mates but not only did I not get her, I got mated to the narcissist daughter of my alpha. I can’t lie, Odette is very beautiful and she loves me, too much for her own safety but I couldn’t bring myself to give her all of me. But I had to accept her because of her father and because Bryer asked me to. For years, we were together and did everything a mated couple would do but I never gave her my heart and she was dumb enough not to know anything.
Three years ago when the pack was attacked and I was wounded, I used that opportunity to stay away from her and get myself back on my feet, bring Bryer back to me and creating my own pack.
When I needed money for my company, Bryer advised to show myself to Odette again that that would get the job done and it sure did.
Everything I am today is because of Bryer, I owe her a lot and that life she has wanted so much, I am ready to give it to her. Once I am able to get Odette’s venom to heal my final wound, I will give her the world and everything in it.
The buzzing of my phone jolts me out of my thoughts and seeing the caller ID, i immediately answer.
“Hello”
“Hello, Mr Zach” the man’s voice filters through, “we are calling to congratulate you on signing the contract. Will you be available this weekend? We are hosting a party and we will like all our important partners to be present”
“Of course, Mr Han. Just send me the details and I will be sure to attend”
“Welcome on board, Mr Zach”
“It is my pleasure”
As the call end, the smile on my face intensifies. This is it, what I have wanted for years. I no longer have to kiss up to anyone, now I am a man whom the world will bow down to.
“You will be unstoppable” my wolf tells me and I nod.
“I will be unstoppable”
Picking up glass of wine on the table, I gulp the entire content as a knock on the door catches my attention and a certain someone enters.
“It is time to transfuse the blood into your body, alpha”
