Carl felt that there were two possibilities. One was that the two ingredients would be in conflict with each other and it would end up being a waste of precious resources. The other was that the two would match perfectly and become a brand-new drug. He hesitated for some time before finally coming to a decision. His hypotheses could be bold, and his ambitions grand.
