" It's not that bad, you both exaggerated the situation " Bonito stated seriously with his eyes furrowed in disappointment.

I licked my lips and then looked away. The Doctor came to treat me and it turned out that it's not that bad. I just got dizzy because of pain that made me weak. I don't know why Bonito's here though, I thought he's out preparing for the raid .

" But I found her on the floor!" Redon explained while pointing out to me. I shook my head and then hoped that he'll stop on insisting his point. Bonito's scary, don't drag me to your problem, I said quietly to myself.

" Miss Miguel " Bonito's cold voice made me look at him awkwardly. I forced a smile at him and our eyes met while he's eyeing me dangerously.

" Stop causing troubles and rest " he stated emphasizing every word making me gulp and nod quickly.

" Don't be too scary, you're intimidating her" Redon clicked his tongue while rolling his eyes beside me. I'm laying on the bed while he's sitting on the right side of it. I told him so many times to go away but he insisted and honestly I don't think I can tell him what to do. He's so hard headed.

" I'll go now, " Bonito announced and then left the room without looking back at us.

I looked at Redon who just shrugged and took his phone out from his pocket. My face furrowed when he started pressing and scrolling on his phone screen.

" Hey! You're not leaving yet?" I asked him and he looked down at me. He nodded his head and then raised his hand to caress my hair.

" Sleep now I'll just play here " He said while looking intently on his phone screen. I raised my eyebrow at him and then looked away. My eyes are directed at the ceiling but my minds wandering around.

I gasped and then looked at him again when I realized that he's planning to stay here inside the room.

" Get out! " I hissed at him and he just looked at me confused.

" Huh no " he said shaking his head.

" That's not a question, I'm telling you to go" I rolled my eyes at him but he just kept his blank stare at me.

" I need to make sure you're safe " he answered back and then focused on his phone. I gritted my teeth in annoyance and slowly tried to sit when he put his hand on my forehead pushing me back on the bed.

" Aw! " I exaggeratedly hissed at him even though he didn't hurt me. He looked at me with boredom in his eyes and made a 'tsk' sound.

" Don't fool me lady, I didn't push you that hard" he said as he keeps on patting my head.

" Quit frowning you'll have wrinkles " he added making me automatically relax my face. I looked up at him when he chuckled loudly catching me off guard.

His laugh, I haven't heard that for days. I immediately washed away my thoughts and glared at him. No, this guy is just like the rest of them. He's just putting up his facade again.

" How long do you think before this investigation ends?" I asked after a few minutes making him stop from touching my head.

My cheeks reddened when I realized that I let him pat my head since earlier. What the hell am I thinking? Did I honestly enjoyed that? A touch of a man?

Redon sighed loudly pulling me back to my senses. I looked up at him and found him staring at nowhere with sad eyes. He stopped playing with my hair and even if I hate to admit it, I felt sad when he stopped doing that to me.

" The investigation is progressing so fast than expected, you gave lots of information and evidences making it easier for us to know the syndicate more " he explained with an unexplainable emotion in his eyes.

" Does that mean I'll be free soon?". I excitedly asked making him look at me blankly. I can't read what's on his mind and he's just looking at me with no emotion. It's unusual for a very expressive person like him.

" Yes, you'll be leaving soon " He confirmed my statement and then smiled sadly at me.

I giggled and then raised my unwounded arm to tap his shoulder. He looked at me questioningly.

" What?" He asked me seriously but I just grinned at him.

" Don't be so sad, you seem like you're gonna miss me " I joked and then laughed , careful enough to not open my stitches again . I stopped laughing when he just stared at me intently making the conversation awkward.

I faked a cough and then looked away. s**t why is he so confusing. This is so awkward.

" By the way, the investigation is really showing very good sign of progress but I just cooperated for like just five days- "

" Oh yeah it's because Bonito have been handling the case for a while now, it's just that having your information confirmed and connected all of the evidence that they had before , " he explained and put down his phone on the bed side table. He crossed his arms above his chest making me pout in disappointment.

You won't play with my hair anymore? I want to ask that but obviously I won't. I know that I'm attracted to him but he's just like everyone else and honestly, I don't want to put myself in a situation that'll hurt me.

" It's like I'm the missing piece " I said making him smile at me with his white set of teeth.

" Yes, you got it " he said while staring at me intently.

" Do you have something to say to me?" I asked him . Everytime I look at his green eyes, it's always making me feel that he wants to say something but is keeping it in. I don't know if it's just me hoping that he's attracted to me too but that's what I see everytime I stare into his orbs.

" Huh?" He asked me after a few seconds. I smiled at him and shook my head. If he has something to say or there's nothing then I don't want to hear it. I have plans and I don't want to change anything.

" Kyla, have you found her?" I changed the topic.

" Ohh Kyla, there's still no new lead for her location, unfortunately " he said weighing my reaction.

I pursed my lips and shook my head while smiling.

" Don't worry, helping us is already enough for me" I said sincerely catching him off guard.

" Woah, that's the sincerest thing you said so far" he stated making me chuckle.

His smiling at me and I'm smiling back at him. Even if he thinks I'm a hoe at least he made me happy just by being himself.

" I'm sorry " those words suddenly escaped from his mouth making me froze on my position.

I slowly looked at him and found him staring at me with pure sincerity . My mouth hang open as I try to find the right words to say.

" W-What?" I said as I finally found my voice.

Redon stood up and my heart shattered because of disappointment when he turned his back on me .

I looked at him and my breathing hitched when he suddenly kneeled in front of the bed making me get up quickly without thinking about my wounds.

" Ugh s-s**t " I cursed as the writhing pain pierced through me.

" f**k! Stupid girl " he exclaimed as he check my body while still kneeling on the floor.

I can feel my tears flowing from my eyes but I know that it's not because of the pain I felt.

" I'm- I'm calling the doctor- " he said panicking but I tightly hold his hand.

" W-what did you say?" I asked him weakly.

He looked at me full of questions but I tightened my hold unto him.

" I said I'm calling the doctor, dude can you just lay there and- "

" No, the thing you said before kneeling " I cut him off making him look at me.

" Is it the time for that? I'll say sorry later okay, for now I have to get the doctor " he said panicking and then ran out of the room.

I was left alone , totally shocked and unable to process the situation. The only thing that's running on my mind is the word 'sorry'.

My heart feels warm, my body's aching but I feel so nice at the same time. All my life and of all the guys who hurt me, no one, not even one said sorry.

I looked at the door where he went to and bit my lower lip as I try to not get emotional.

He's the only one who apologized to me.
