"Just another round up and we're done!" one of the lead member of the team exclaimed.
They are now seeing the gallery with full delight as those precious painting from Lin's were hanging by the walls and some were separated for better view while complementing the over all minimalistic style of the Gallery.
It's already dark outside but since they're overworking overnight for the upcoming big event, they didn't mind it.
"Okay!" the leader clapped his hands and faced the team.
"We have one more round of polishing the preparation by tomorrow so! Let's go early today!" he cheered and upon hearing it, the members immediately responded with another sound of cheers.
Lin smiled too since he has been helping with the preparations and was staying with them even though they always tell him not to.
They seemingly locked themselves in that place, keeping busy with work day and night.
"Oh, so it's already the full moon?" one of the team asked and pointed at the bright moon hanging above the sky.
Lin lifted his head just to meet the dark sky bed with some twinkling ones lead by the perfect and round mysterious moon.
He then checked up his phone and frowned everytime that he realized he wasn't receiving any messages.
Rein haven't texted or called him this entire day which was definitely strange. He then proceeded to call Mierin.
The phone was ringing as he walk towards his car and after a few ring, it reached her.
"Hello, good evening." Lin exhaled in relief he's afraid that if Meirin wouldn't respond, he would conclude that something bad happened.
"Lin? Is this you?" the lady asked over the phone.
"Ah, yes. Good evening. We haven't exchanged number so can you save mine? In case of anything?" Lin asked
"Of course! Of course! My honor!" Mieirn said in full delight. She already asked Lin's number on Rein but the man was too possessive! He wouldn't give anything that's too precious from Lin!
Both of them were still warming up the conversation that made Lin hold the car door half opened since he didn't like taking calls when driving so he stood there while talking to Mierin.
After a few pleasantries, Lin asked, "So Rein...is he doing fine? What things that kept him busy?"
Mieirn was munching some midnight snack as she reply, "He's alright, don't worry. He attended an event yesterday and looked haggard. Haha, he came with his husband so I think he's alright." she said casually. Meirin had the tendency not to mind other people's sensitivity while mumbling.
But Lin can't help but to raise a brow from the term she used for Jeremy, he then asked, "So after that event? What happened?"
"That..." Mierin suddenly remembered something and faked a cough, "....well I don't know much but they also left on the venue together."
Lin's expression stiffened and his voice seems to become more fierce, "Left together?"
She snapped, she doesn't want to hurt the angelic Lin so she said instead, "Yes but they're not... actually talking and lovey-dovey you know. Just rode in the same car? Haha." she reasoned out
But Lin wasn't dense, "So they're together? Up to this day?" he asked again
Mierin replied hastily, "Uh, yes maybe..." she haven't received any response from Rein since last night.
Lin's lips went thinner as he asked in a stiff voice again, "Have you contacted Rein?"
Man, this is something she's trying to avoid.
"Uh not yet but I think he's busy you know... Work from home? Haha."
Lin turned his gaze on the side mirror of his car as he asked, "I think they're getting along pretty well now." his tone plain
Mierin was surprised and straightened up as she said, "Oh no, they're not getting along at all! You know how Rein hated Jeremy's arrogance so I'm sure... They're not."
"Mm....but I bet they went on a date after that event seeing that they went home together in the same car." Lin moved closer to the driver's seat.
Meirin laughed a bit, sensing that Lin was drinking vinegar (jealousy) on his own, she said, "No silly! Rein was unconscious during that time, his face flushed under Jeremy's arms. His clothes weren't even in a good condition so they surely won't go on a date don't worry."
But she froze the moment she realizes when. There's no more response on the other line.
Lin's expression were frosty and cold as he finally heard the truth but before reacting on that truth, he carefully took a long heavy tube on the driver's seat, it is an arm-length tube used for containing single-side frame borders.
He placed it there beforehand and didn't knew he would need it during this time.
He took a tight grip on that tube and swiftly swung it behind his back.
The man who was covered in all black behind him immediately backed off.
He was about to cover Lin's nose and mouth with a handkerchief that has an intense sleeping scent.
He was taken aback. Lin was leisurely talking on the phone earlier but who would have thought that he already noticed it?!
Lin turned slowly towards him, hand holding that tube. He shut his car door close and faced the man with a craze, amused face.
Somewhat serious but he was somewhat smiling which gave the black man shivers, the picture of an angelic and innocent face of a beautiful painter that his employee sent him were completely different from this one!
"Do you think I came here with nothing again?" Lin asked, his expression were dark but he was smiling
"Do you think I'm still that weak? And stupid?" Lin asked as if he's asking someone else, he took a step forward.
Step...step...
"Do you think I couldn't take back what's mine?" he asked wide eyed.
The black man was confused and trembling but he ain't a coward. It can be seen clearly that he was more bigger than Lin, so he plunged forward to make Lin back off and lose balance so that he can have him smell that sleeping scent.
The employee was a regular one so he didn't hesitate to do as he ordered.
To take this beautiful man and degrade him whatever they like.
He smiled, licking his lips seeing that Lin wasn't moving. He was about to reach for his face when he suddenly saw those phoenix eyes turn into a beast.
Lin smiled as his hand reflexively swung the tube directly on the man's head.
Without hesitation.
The clang of the hard skull and the heavy tube made a terrifying sound. The man were thrown in the ground in an instant with blood pouring out on the side of his head.
The force was too great.
His head was bleeding as he groan in pain but this beautiful and angelic man, they say, just stood there with a cold expression.
"Actually... I didn't thought about this that much but since there are signs. A lot of signs," Lin's started as he swung the tube leisurely "...I finally concluded that you also came back from the past. Seeing how you behave and we'll 'coincidentally' took him. I couldn't think of anything but that."
He giggled but his face turned cold right after and suddenly hit the man's legs with his tube. The man made another painful groan.
Lin was almost insane as he laughed, "Ah, you think you won again?"
