“Do you like my brother?”
Kiara’s giggle quickly got lodged in her throat, his question had caught her completely off guard. Zander watched as her eyes grew as large as saucers and she clenched her jaw, he could see the pulse in her neck increase rapidly.
“I’m just his surrogate,” Kiara reminded him.
“Hmm, that doesn’t really answer my question though, but I’ll let it pass for now.” Zander smirked before he walked away.
“Goddess! These twins are so strange,” Kiara rested her hand over her racing heart. “I’m sure his brother told him about the arrangement, so I don’t understand why he would ask me those questions.”
Just thinking about Zander’s line of questioning made her heart beat faster. That made her ask herself, ‘Do I like Xavier?’
