Chapter Three: A simple mind might have lost count of the days tracking the fugitive Morgan, but Ed possessed a clarity of purpose. Finding and torturing that woman to death was his only goal. For the four days since he led the empire’s forces from Haven, that was the only motivation driving his actions. Perhaps this was the time to embrace the mages of the court.
