11Lael unfolded her legs and stood stiffly. The Guardian for this area was definitely dead. She would have to find her body, somehow, and perform the traditional rites or there would be no release from her torment. She wiped away a tear and reached for her clothes. The circle of Guardians were aware now that the Bledray Ghouls had risen, that they had found a means to break free from the shackles the Guardians imposed, but they still could not leave the protected areas. Help would come from them on a less physical realm. Lael would prefer a bit more muscle by her side. The burning scent of the Ghoul had strengthened in the short time Lael had taken to clean up and communicate. Not the same as Bellbird, a shade weaker. A single Ghoul then, Lael decided.
