“Who the f**k are you?” I asked, scrambling back until my back hits a tree. My heart was racing, and my whole body was trembling. I felt like I couldn’t breathe as the weight of what I’d done suddenly hit me like a ton of bricks. I know she wasn’t a good person, but she was still a person, and I had killed her. I’ve never killed before. Never hurt anyone intentionally, and now here I am, a murderer with blood on my hands. “I was about to ask you the same thing,” he answered, but for some reason, his words just don’t register in my head. He started walking towards me, and I scrambled further back, even though there wasn’t anywhere else to go. “Stay back. Don’t come nearer,” I shouted at him, pushing my hands in front of me in an effort to wade him off. My gaze gets caught by the blood
