I stared at Alec, and I knew that something was working in his mind. It was quite clear that he didn’t like the fact that I was his mate, or the fact that I rejected him. To be honest, it puzzled me.
He couldn’t hide the hate he has for me, and I hate him right back. So why the hell would he reject my rejection? It didn’t make any f*****g sense. I thought he, of all people, would be ecstatic.
