The Bangles Part 2

In the morning after the daily routine ,her husband leaves for his work telling her not to do any hard work and just try and relax as she has come for rest.There in Surat she works a lot so this is a vacation for her and he reminds her to clean the house he will bring a worker with him .After he  goes she sits in the hall to catch the lady who enters her house with the keys ,she plans to catch her red handed .She switches on the Tv and watches few channels ,but all the while she runs towards the door and sees through the keyhole to see if she has arrived .She waits for long but she does not come. She is hungry so decides to make something to eat .She gets up and goes to the kitchen and starts preparing the meal she makes more in quantity so as to suffice till the night . It takes a lot of time for her as she is engrossed in cooking and when she finishes her cooking .She suddenly remembers the lady ,she runs towards the door and checks the latches and peeps through the keyhole she is relieved and thinks probably her husband might have told her to stop coming to work till she is there ,and latter might call her again.She is about to go to the kitchen to serve food for herself when she feels someone’s presence in her bedroom she goes slowly towards her room and opens the door and is shocked to see that lady sitting on her bed and she has the gold bangles in her hand and watching it closely and kissing it and holding it closely to her chest and crying very softly .The lady of the house is angry and horrified to see that servant on her bed and holding the gold bangles which her husband gave it to her last night She is shocked how did she come in through the door which  was locked from inside , and how did she know about the gold bangles kept in the cupboard ,and why is she crying .

She is too shocked to comprehend  what was happening  ,is her husband cheating on her.and even if he is cheating how can the lady enter the house as and when she feels like.She is too scared to accept the fact that she might be a ghost ,she again goes slowly and sees in her bed room nd to her shock there is nobody in the room she opens the cupboard and sees ,the gold bangles it is just the way she had kept it .Now she loses her mental balance she cries a lot pulls her hair and bangs her head on the wall .she does not understand what is happening to her how can a ghost be involved with her husband ,and why did he bring her here to stay with him , if he was happy staying with a female ghost and her children .

The mobile rings and she is too scared to get up and take the phone least the ghost is roaming in the house freely she did not want to see her again .She understands her husband’s obsession with the bengali beauties ,she feels this is definitely something to do with her husband  Did he love a bengali lady and is this her gold bangles did he kill her for this house  and could afford so many things for his daughter’s wedding. She cries a lot and calls out to that lady asking her to come and tell her why is she troubling her what has she done to her,she has never even seen her ,she has her children ,and hs come here for fes days so why is she harassing her by coming to her house.She tells her to come forward and answer her.

Suddenly the window opens and rain,thunder,lightning could be heard he lady of the house gets scared and sits at the edge of the couch,shivering she sees many dried leaves fly inside the room with lots of dust the room is filled with dust and dried leaves ,and suddenly it takes the shape of a lady .The same lady the ghost who roams in her house,she look at her and slowly comes forward  and cries and screams ,and tells her only she can help her get justice and if gets her justice she will never trouble her.The lady od the house tells her she will try to help her .but what does she want her to do.

The ghost tells her she will have to trust what she is about to  tell the lay of the house.The lay of the house agrees and tells her to tell her fast and to leave her alone and he will definitely help her.The ghost tells he few years back the man of the house the lay’s husband came from Surat he wanted to rent a house , the ghost goes on to tell she was a widow her husband was very rich and so she had lots of jewellery and many sarees and expensive clothes and artifact.and three daughters who were very young .The ghost tells the lady ,as she was young and with three small daughters she agreed to keep the man from Surat as a paying guest in her house and gave him one bedroom to stay .He slowly became friendly with her daughters and then  through the children he came close to her too , she liked the attention he was giving her ,and so she started dressing up for him , and he started bringing gifts for her and taking her and the girls out for dinner ,and they started living like husband and wife  her children were very happy to get a father again in their life.He knew all about her bank accounts as he started operating it and he knew about all her jewelry as he wanted her to wear it and go out with him.One day he told he is taking all of us to a trip and her three daughters ,she were made to sit in the car and he drive us and went on driving till it was dark and suddenly got out of the car saying something was wrong with the car and then he pushed the car along with her children and her down the hill ,the car got burnt and all died .

Listening to the ghost’s story . The  lady of the house faints and when her husband comes  home  in the evening he finds her  on the floor and when he touches her ,she is burning with fever. He lifts her and takes  her to the bedroom and calls for  the doctor how was near their house ,the doctor tells him she is having high temperature and gives a injection and asks him to keep a watch on her temperature , it should not increase , so the husband takes care of her and in the middle of the night when the husband touches her body he feels it  very hot as if it is burning , he  removes his hand and tries to call the doctor on the phone but the doctor does not attend the call , he again comes and tries to take the temperature, that time  the thermometer burst when he  takes it  near  her body . He is now very scared  . He closes the house door and goes to bring the doctor from his house , he asks few people around for direction and then reaches the doctors house and pleads him to come to his house as his wife’s body is burning in  fever, he tells the doctor even the thermometer burst so he request him to come and save her .

The doctor along with his wife who is also a doctor accompany the man to his house .When they enter the bedroom where the lady was sleeping , they are surprised to see she is not on the bed ,he checks the washroom thinking she might have gone there ,but she was not in the washroom they all start searching her in the house getting worried where she might have gone in  this high fever.When all come to the hall they see the lady dressed in her best expensive saree she had worn the saree in a typical bengali way and left her hair loose had a big round ,red colour turmeric mark on her forehead ,and lots of gold jewelry around her neck and those gold bangles ,she looked like a bride .She was sitting on the couch very royally.All three were shocked to see her.and her husband ran away from her , he saw her and starts screaming and trying to close his eyes with his hand ,she was only  staring at him and not saying anything ,the doctor couple are confused looking at both ,but the man is seeing the face of the women he had killed ,the lady dressed in her finery was his wife but the soul of the killed women had taken over her body ,only he could see the face of the killed lady, the doctor who had seen her in the evening while giving her injection sees her as he was .But the man of the house could see only the ghost and she had dressed up the way she used to dress for him .He was pleading her to forgive him ,and telling her to go away and leave him ,to spare his wife .the doctor couple are shocked what happened to him ,why is he asking his wife to spare him ,what has he done to her. 

Then the man sits down and cries and faces the doctor couple and tells them .When he came to Kolkata he wanted a place to stay and did not want to spend more money on lodging and boarding ,so after many days he came to know about this lady who was a widow and had three young daughters living in a huge house ,was looking for a paying guest .So when he went to meet her he was floored by her beauty .Though the lady did not want to keep a man as a paying guest as they were all females at home ,he convinced her, saying he is from a very good background  and is married and has two children , so he would be a perfect person for her as a paying guest, he also told her he will also help her children in their studies and help her in the house work .The lady is convinced and allows him to shift to her house and gives him one bedroom ,then as the day passes he becomes a part of their family .Until one day greed takes over him ,and he plans to kill everyone and take over her property and jewelry.and by telling them lies he takes them for a long drive and pushes the car with all four from the hill to their death. And then he takes all the jewelry and expensive sarees and clothes and artifacts to his house in Srat and gives it to his family.He faces the ghost now and falls on her feet and tells her he is the killer of all of them ,the doctor couple call the police immediately ,and when the man looks up at the lady to get her forgiveness he is taken aback as the face now looks like his wife and the wife pushes him and slaps him hard across his face ,and tells him after killing innocent children and a women,  he dared to  gift all their valuables to his  daughter to start a new life after marriage . She tells him , along with the doctor couple , she will also be a witness to his crime.
