Kate ate her breakfast in a hurry and grabbed her bag. She overslept, and now she's going to be late in her work. Kate ran as fast as she could as she found no taxi to take her and ignored the stares of the people. When she arrived at the hospital, Mrs. Karen was waiting in front of the door with her famous glare and arms crossed.
"Mrs. Karen, I'm sorry I'm late," Kate apologized to the old woman in front of her.
"Then what are you waiting for?! Go and get inside!" Mrs. Karen said. Kate nodded and went inside the hospital. "Shameless," she added, which Kate heard. She ignored it and deposited her things in the locker.
When she went out, nurses, doctors, and her co-workers looked at her with judging eyes. Kate bowed her head and gripped the hem of her uniform.
