James is still shaken by what the man had said. He stood there staring as the man is in hysterics. But when the man suddenly went still and the heart monitor went flat line, he was alarmed.
“The patient is on arrest.” One of the interns said.
James hissed and decided to step in. He wore some clean gloves and approached the patient.
“One milligram of Epi now!” James ordered, and then he began doing the chest compressions.
“Defib, charge it to one-fifty!” He ordered and continued to do the chest compression while Dr. Miller preps the defibrillator.
And when the machine was ready, he stepped away from the patient.
“Clear!”
And then Dr. Miller proceeds to shock the patient using the defibrillator. When there was no change at all, James went back to do chest compressions.
