Maxwell's POV
It has been two days since I rejected my mate. I have been also avoiding mom and dad as I stayed at my apartment in the city. Today I had to go back because I had a meeting with the Alpha of the midnight pack.
I walked inside the pack house or more like tiptoed inside as I did not want any confrontation at the moment.
But I was not so lucky.
"So, finally you decided to come" I hear my mom's familiar voice.
I stopped and turned around to find her standing near the end of the hallway.
"Mom, I have meeting with the Alpha of the midnight pack" I say.
"I know that already" she says with a nod.
"Are you done avoiding us?" she asks as dad also joins her. The both walked near me.
"Can we talk about this later?" I ask.
"You already had those two days for yourself" dad states
