Asteria It’s Saturday; I grab a glass of juice and a plate and head outside to my favorite spot. Sitting down at the patio table, I gaze out over the mountains while I eat. It has been eight years since we escaped and made our way to Haven. So much has changed, and it’s all for the better, especially for Mom. She is a different person now, and I want her to be happy. Speaking of her, she comes out the back door with her coffee and sits with me.
