Chapter Eight Mrs. Kimball The morning came too soon to please Sausony. She would have rather slept. If morning meant another day swabbing floors, meant lousy food, hard cracks against her ass for punishment and the memory of her night to dwell on, she would have much rather slept away the early hours inside the restful peace of her dreams. When she heard Grant Holden’s voice jar her mind, her dream state quickly fled.
