Leslie carried her bag out of the room and stepped out towards the entrance of the building. There, she met Aaron and Zane.
Dropping her single bag besides the other ones, Leslie turned to see Lucas speaking with the Beta of Suncrest pack.
What was his name again? She wondered.
“Are we leaving now?” Zane, who was beside her, asked.
“Yeah, do you want to say bye to anyone?”
Zane glanced to the floor, “No. I already said bye to mother.”
Her heart clenched in pain as she stared down at him.
So there was no one who would miss him when he left? She felt sorry for Zane.
Had he been truly lonely in this pack? She wondered.
