Chapter 6 The Challenge from my own Mate

Samantha pov

    So, as I had worried everyone made me stay in bed for 3 more days. And believe me it was torture. I wasn’t even able to sit and watch morning training which nearly killed me because of the thought of everyone watching Asher.

    Yes I know it is strange to think of that but the bond is growing stronger day by day. He stays in my room with me however, me being a little childish, I have made a barricade of pillows between us every night so that we are not tempted to do anything we are not ready for. Well I’M not ready for that is. It is starting to kill me though.

    Today is now the 12th of March and I have 15 days till I turn 17 and something BIG happens. I try hard to talk to the moon goddess again but she never appears so I am still in the dark as to what will happen that day and frankly it scares me a little.

    Also today I am finally able to go back to practice, so I get up around 3:45am hyper and ready to go. I have finished my morning routine and skip back into the room. Asher is still asleep and the time is 4:15 so I jump on the bed like a little kid.

“Wake up Asher it’s time for training. You got to get up so we can get there in time.”

    He rolls over and groans loudly and refuses to move. So, me being the immature high schooler I am, I lick his face from his chin to his ear. He freaks out and scrambles out of the bed with a growl.

He looks at me over the side of the bed and I just smile at him.

    “I told you to get up” I say while grinning like a cheshire cat. He sighs as he rolls his eyes and gets up to stretch his long muscular arms over his head. The site of him in a pair of black sweatpants hanging low on his hips sporting his perfectly chiseled chest and his sculpted abs that lead down to his sharp and defined V-lines.

    ‘Oh what in Goddesses mane did I do to deserve a mate with a body of a god’ I thought holding my breath as I began to turn red.

    “You know you don’t have to hide it I know you like what you see and you want it just as bad as I want you.” He says with an evil smirk.

“How can you want all of this?” I question looking at my own body.

    I am not much to look at. I’m only 5-foot-tall and weigh 135lbs, which is big for my height, I have big thighs and hips which alone put me into a size 10 pair of jeans, my bust with the size of a double D. I was nothing like those Victoria secret models and I sure as hell know I am not a woman who will eat a salad instead of a big mac but I still could dress up and look good. I had not noticed him leaning over the bed until he raps his arms around my stomach.

    “You see yourself as a big girl, all I see is perfect curves and more strength than some of my male worriers. You see fat whereas I see muscle. You see a need to hide your body while I see someone who should show off what she has.” He says in a low hum as he kisses down my neck. He has learned in the past few days that my neck is a soft spot on me and I can never try and argue with him when he does this.

“Well. Show off only a little. Only I can see all of you.”

“Oh no you don’t. You are not getting out of practice, we need to get going.” Saying while I give him a small peck on his lips and running from the room.

“You are not going out with just a sports bra and pants on. You need a shirt.” He yells and I grab a tank-top and jacket on my way out the door.

    Stepping onto the porch I meet all my family with smiles as they see I am joining them today. Hugging each one tight I let out a long sigh before we are joined by Asher and take off towards the training grounds.

“So Alpha Asher I see you are joining us for once, hopefully you can show us what you are made of as both our future King and my sister’s mate.” Cody says with a big grin on his face.

“Wait, you are telling me you haven’t been to training at all this whole time while you have been here?” I ask before he could even answer.

“Okay for one Cody call me Asher we are to be family soon so there is no need for formalities and for two, no Samantha I have not because I have been far too worried about your recovery. However I have been running with my guards and my beta so do not worry I am fit as I can be.” He tells me with a wink.

‘so that means that none of the other she wolves have seen what is mine.’ I think while blushing a deep red to which my father busts out laughing.

“Asher it looks like you have a jealous mate that wants your body all to herself.” Mark states through his laughter.

“DAD SHUT UP.” I yell causing him to go silent.

“We really need to figure out what is going on with this power of yours if you are making dad even submit to you.” Eli finally says breaking his silence he has had the whole trip here.

    We enter the clearing and everyone starts to whisper as they see the new figure standing with my family. Not long after coming through we are flanked by many of the royal pack guards as well as Reece who already has all the girls talking about him. Blaine is there standing at dad’s side and Whitney jogs up and gives me a big hug. I nod my head to my father, brothers and mate as I walk off with her to join the training line ignoring both the confused stares as for where I have been and who all the new wolves that have joined us today are.

    “I would like to make a few announcements before the start of training this morning. As you can see there are quite a few new faces but only 2 are extremely important to know. This is Alpha Asher Denmark of the Royal pack along with his beta Reece Mathews. They will be staying with us until July when we play host to the Pack Challenges this year. They will also be joining us on all pack activities including attending our local High School with many of you younger members. Please do not make a fool out of yourself or this pack while they are here.” Father addresses the crowd.

“YES ALPHA” everyone yells back.

    Morning warm-ups go on as usual but with a few more people actually putting in effort this time. As we get to the sparring part of the training Asher asks for the members of the pack’s alphas household to demonstrate our abilities against him or his beta.

    Cody goes first and picks to go against Asher. In The beginning, he does good holding his own in human form but the minute Asher shifts he has Cody pinned before he could think of shifting. Eli goes against Reece but is only able to land a few good hits in as he leaves an opening for Reece to strike, bringing him down to his knees. As it comes to be my turn a few members including Macy, who you would have thought had learned her lesson a few weeks back, starts asking questions.

“Alphas, why in the world would you want to test the strength of this lowly omega human?” one asks.

“We understand she is still a part of this pack but many of us believe she shouldn’t even be here practicing in the first place.” Another older worrier says.

I just roll my eyes and walk over in front of Asher, turn around and point at the pack.

“Fine since none of you seem to think I deserve a place here and that I cannot hold my own, why not this.” I pause letting what I am saying sit in.

“If I beat the Beta Blaine and Royal Beta Reece at the same time I will then go up against Alpha Asher and if I fail to beat any of them then I will no longer come to pack training as well as serve alone in the pack house for 2 months. That means I do everything, By. My. Self.” I state with a sneer at the end.

    This causes my friends to tense, my family and beta Blaine to sigh shaking their heads, Beta Reece and the royal guards to stair in shock and Asher to look both pissed off and proud all at one time. The crowds started to talk and some yelled yeah really loud.

    “Do you agree to these terms sir Alpha?” I turn around to look at him with a smile making even more people insult me with names. I hear one voice in particular calling me a slut and saying, ‘she’s going after the future king now’ to which I ignore even through Asher’s growl. He really hates me being insulted even a little bit but I need to prove myself fit to be his mate as well as the future Queen of this kind.

    “Fine I agree but do you really want to take on both betas at the same time? That is a lot of power for your tiny self!” I could not believe my ears. Was my own mate doubting my abilities!? This had made me both extremely angry as well as hurt and I knew then I would not lose this fight.

    “Yes ALPHA, I am for sure. Your worry is not needed. EVER.” I spat. The look of confusion and apology flashes over his face once he realizes why I am so upset. After everything he had said to me earlier about my strength and he goes and says something like that. I am done. He will learn now to never piss me off again.

“Fine I understand, Reece and Blaine you are first.”

    I strip down to my sports bra and a pair of spandex shorts I had on under my pants. This causes a growl from Asher along with several whistles from the men in the pack. You see with me being a pack omega a lot of the unmated males in the pack have tried to make a pass at me at least once if not multiple times to which either I hurt them or one of my brothers finds out and takes care of it for me.

    I stand there and close my eyes as they take their spots on each side of me. Reece on my right and Blaine on my left. I keep my eyes closed the whole time as I feel them begin to circle.

“I know I am the one who taught you everything you know but are you sure this is okay?” Blaine asks. I just hum in response. Reece begins to faulter in his steps. He whispers to me lowly.

“Luna please I do not want to hurt you and Asher would never forgive me if I did.”

With my eyes still closed I say.

    “You should be more worried about the pain you will be in after this.” I turn while my eyes are still closed, hearing the sound of breathing and lunged at Blaine. I open my eyes in time to see him begin to dip to the right out of the way of my swing but everything seems in slow motion so, I change my speed and direction to his left leg throwing him off balance and landing him on his side. He rolls over into a crouching position and kicks for my legs. I jump up and flip over his shoulders, while my hands stay connected with his arms I swing him over me with the left-over momentum sending him flying into a near-bye tree knocking him out cold.

    I spin just in time for Reece’s fist to buzz by my face, a nail scratching my cheek, as I do a back flip to put distance from us. Charging straight forward I dip at the hip and throw him over my side stunning him and coming down with a swift chop across his neck, knocking him out and him dropping right there. I bend down to put a hand to his face to see if he is still breathing.

    “You may want to call Cheyenne and Mike dad cause these two are going to be out for a while, sorry.” I say with a snicker.

    “Now Alpha Asher I believe we had an agreement, will you break it…” I pause staring at him dead in the eyes showing no loving emotions at all.

“Or will you fight me like the Alpha I know you are….”
