When Drew walked into the house, he saw Lily, her eyes closed, breathing normally. He carried her gently and then went up to the next floor. Due to the broken door in her room, he contemplated allowing his wife to sleep in his room.
Lily opened her eyes once he placed her safely on the bed.
"Thank you..." Lily said before realizing it wasn't her room. "Why did you bring me here?"
He responded, "You may continue sleeping here; I will go to the guest room upstairs. There are marks of blood on your sheet, and the door cracked."
Lily stopped him, grabbing his wrist.
"Can you stay with me?" she asked. Drew thought that his wife might still be terrified of what had happened.
