Chapter 5- In the King's Presence

“I'm back to this place again,” Andreas spoke as he saw his reflection on the blood river.
“Did I just die once again?”
But as Andreas questioned himself, the familiar unified voice speaks to him once again.
“You almost died again, and it was due to a stupid reason, Andreas. But do not worry as this is only a dream you will wake up soon enough.”
Andreas's vision became hazy, and the blood river slowly disappeared. However, he woke up once again as the snake Otis. But upon waking, he saw an unfamiliar place.
*Zzzzzz!*
When Otis heard someone snore, he immediately looks at his side. There he saw the sleeping Henry dripping a strand of saliva as he snores. But Otis did not care much and observe the room.
The room they were in was somewhat what a luxury that nobles enjoy. The bed, the two of them were sleeping in currently was quite huge that it could fit five people. Then the smell of the room was somewhat similar to a field of lavender. It was a relaxing scent that could make anyone feel sleepy.
Otis crawled out of bed and saw the floor made of marble. Upon seeing this, Otis realizes that they were inside a luxurious house. Then suddenly someone knocked on the door of the room.
*knock* *knock*
“Sir Henry, are you awake? I am a maid assigned to bring you and your pet lunch.”
Hearing the maid introduce Otis replied, “I am his companion Otis; Henry is unfortunately still asleep.”
“I see, then may I come in, sir Otis? I'm here to bring lunch.”
“Sure, please come in,” Otis spoke after hearing the maid.
The doors opened, and a maid pushing a wooden food trolley entered. The maid was wearing the same uniform as Claire. But unlike her, the current maid did not carry any weapons. However, even with that, Otis was careful as he feels that the maid has not made some noise as she walks towards them.
‘She seems harmless, but the way she walks and the sound she produces is too quiet. There's no denying it. She's a maid who doubles as an assassin. It so looks like they are planning to kill Henry.’
‘Well, if that happens, no one will be in my way to the path of destroying this world. Now maid, let's see how you are going to kill Henry. But if you are also going to kill me, I'll have no choice but to use my skill. It's weak, but it can kill a person.’
The maid gave Otis a smile who was looking at her directly. “Is there a problem, sir Otis?”
“It's nothing, but I am troubled on where this place and where am I now.”
The maid replied to Otis, “Oh, you are inside the royal palace. The two of you are the guests by the princess.”
“Would you like me to pour you some tea?” The maid added as she grabbed the teapot.
“I'm a cold-blooded snake. I should not drink anything higher than my body temperature.”
“I see now, but what about-”
“ITS FOOD!” Henry yelled as he gets up from the bed.
Otis and the maid were both surprised by his sudden yell. Henry looked at the two and saw the food trolley. He then pointed at the cart with his index finger and asked the maid.
“Can I eat that, miss?”
“S-sure!” The maid has a scared expression upon replying.
However, when Henry got out of bed and walked toward the trolley. He bypasses the trolley and heads toward the maid. Henry then grabbed the maid her hands and spoke.
“I think you are a more delicious food than the one served. So why don't you say I'll eat your voluptuous maid body instead.”
The maid smiled and stomped on Henry's foot. It caused him to unleash his grip on the maid's hand. Then the maid pushed Henry away forcefully, leading him to fall back to bed.
“So you want to be the one leading, hehe,” Henry spoke with a perverted smile.
The maid's smile turned into a look of a killer, and with her middle and index finger. The maid formed a scissor-like motion in her hand. She then combined it with a warning.
“You f*****g p*****t, do you want me to cut your meat. If it weren't for the princess's orders to treat you kindly, I would have done it while you were unconscious. As revenge for using a cute, well mannered snake-like Otis to harass Princess Anne sexually.”
Henry's face turned grim after hearing the maid. He even unintentionally covers his crotch upon seeing the maid imitate a scissor.
‘That's what you get with trying to get any hot woman. I guess this serves you right, Henry. However, it looks like my plan of ruining his reputation work. But I guess it did not bring any heavy punishment towards Henry.’
“I'm very sorry for my master's behavior, miss maid.”
“Don't worry, Otis, you are cute, so I'll forgive this little bitchy p*****t master of yours.”
“Oh! Before I forget, the princess wants to meet you two in the throne room. I can take you there after you finish your food. I'll be waiting outside of this room.”
‘After that, the maid left the room; however, I can tell that she's only standing in front of this room's door. ’
Henry immediately digs in to eat the brought food, and with just a few minutes, he finished everything. Otis, on the other hand, did not eat anything as he only eats once a week. However, due to him not moving that much anymore his able to conserve more energy. That lead to him being able to survive without food for two weeks.
Andreas still hates Otis's body which he reincarnated into, but he also realized some advantages. Such as the food part and new way of being able to locate people using his tongue.
The two then walked out of the room. Then the maid who brought them food spoke, “Please follow me. I will be leading you two to the throne room. Where Princess Anne is waiting for you two.”
Henry followed the maid; meanwhile, Otis was chilling on his shoulder. The palace was quite huge that it took them almost eight minutes to arrive at the throne room.
There were guards stationed near the throne room in full battle armor upon seeing the maid who Henry and Otis accompany. The two guards grabbed the handle of the doors and opened pulled the doors outward. Revealing the throne room, where a man in his fifties was seating, on his right side was Princess Anne standing.
Claire was also present, and she just stood behind Anne. The maid kneeled, and so as Henry. Otis lowered his head; however, he felt discomfort as doing this.
‘King Melvin Armada, the king of this kingdom. Also, the king, who I should call the mass murderer and traitor. He's not afraid to flaunt his military, wealth, and influence if he declares war on other countries. He's a man who will do everything in his power to get what he wants and make the Armada kingdom the only superpower of the human realms.’
‘However, my Empire put Melvin's display of might to shame. After half of his forces were defeated in just three days. My presence was putting Armada's kingdom to become vulnerable not only to my Empire but also to the other countries. So he called for the other nations to unite and defeat me as I am an evil that no one can defeat.’
‘It was the start of my plan to unite the world, however, after three years. I have learned that they were only going to betray each other. After I am defeated, they will prey on the weaker countries and take what they have.’
‘And the first person who thought about this was this man. The King who I am lowering head, it's disgusting that I want to spit. It's worse than eating a portion of bad food that could kill me.’
“So you are the young man that has saved my daughter?” The king spoke loudly with a powerful voice that could send someone shaking. His voice has the tone of authority that caused Henry to sweat as he hears the king said those words.
It was because Henry got accused of sexually harassing the princess. So his fear was the height of something unbelievable. Knowing that, he got charged with doing that to the ruler of a land.
But Henry still replied with a nervous tone, “Y-yes, your highness. I have saved your daughter, Princess Anne, from danger. I Henry Josiah.”
The King leaned back to his throne and continued to speak. “I see, then my daughter has promised you a reward. Henry Josiah?”
“Y-yes, your majesty, that is correct,” Henry replied as his entire body was shaking from the fear of the punishment that the king would give him.
“Now, what is that you wish, Henry. As I Melvin Armada will fulfill it as thank you for saving my daughter.”
Henry lets out a sigh of relief after hearing the king. Otis saw this and started to wonder why the king hasn't spoken of the princess's harassment.
However, King Melvin spoke once again, and what he said next made Henry petrified out of fear.
“Also, young man, you also harassed my daughter sexually and her maid. Aren't you a brave and bold one doing that to the princess and her servant?”
Henry did not even dare to look at the king in the eye. After hearing those words come out of the king. Henry tried to speak, but because of how scared he is now, not a single word came out of his mouth.
‘Just when I was about to lose hope about him receiving a punishment. It looks like the king managed to fall into my trap. Killing their hero that will save them from destruction, I can't help but want to laugh at my plan.’
‘But if Henry gets executed, I can't survive on my own. Well, I am going to say that if I did not look further into this plan. I will make the maid adopt me as a pet, and then I will survive. Not only that, I can poison the political powers of this kingdom. Maybe I didn't have to grow strong at all. What I have to do was to manipulate the influential people inside the royal family.’
But as Otis was busy talking about his plans to himself. The King once again spoke.
“Young man, if it weren't for my daughter's kindness. Even though you have dared to touch her, she still asked me to forgive you. However, I won't let you off the hook, young man. As of today, you will be a slave of Princess Anne for the next three years.”
“Heh!?” Otis and Henry uttered in unison.
Claire was surprised by the sudden declaration of the king. But then she remembered the grin of Anne while they were at the carriage. So she leaned near Anne's ear and whispered.
“What are you planning, princess?”
The princess turned her head slightly towards the maid and whispered her reply.
“Just you wait, Claire. Something big is going to be happening.”
“I declare you, Henry Josiah, as the space of my daughter. And let these cursed bracelets be a sign of that.” The king then points at the guards carrying two jade bracelets.
Two of the guards grabbed Henry's arms. One of the guards then picks up the bracelets and forcefully puts them on Henry's wrist. The bracelets were quite big for Henry's wrist; however, they shrink to fit his wrist.
“After you complete your slave contract, Henry, those bracelets will come out. Now I guess it's time for your reward. Bring the…”
*SLAAAAAM!*
“I request an audience with the king!” An older man wearing a white gown showed up. A beautiful blonde girl accompanied the older man. The girl wore heavy white-colored plate armor.
“Bishop Michael didn't my subordinates tell you that I would entertain your… ”
“No! Your majesty, as this something important that you cannot turn a blind eye.”
The King looked at Henry and spoke, “I guess I will have to give your reward later. Move to the side now, as I will be entertaining this special guest.”
Henry walks to the side of the room where he stood along with the guards.
“So what is this important thing you need to tell me, Bishop Michael.”
“It is about the medicinal herbs that the town of Rollin is importing to the church. It is a valuable ingredient for creating healing potion that your military uses.”
“This does seem that important then; I am willing to listen.”
The bishop cleared his throat before speaking. “The presence of the monsters has increased in that village. And we believe the reason for that is the presence of one of the Evil Emperor Andreas generals!'”
